Chapter Nineteen My Life after Death When I woke a note was left on my bedside by the ever solicitous Mr. Bergman. He graciously apologized for leaving to attend a previously scheduled appointment, but promised to visit me again soon. Alone with my thoughts, I missed Mr. Bergman’s company immediately.
