Chapter Seven The Best Birthday in my Life Elizabeth wanted to drop me off in front, but since the theater space was on a dangerous block, I insisted on staying with her. After finding a parking space a couple of long blocks away, we ran as fast as we could, holding hands and laughing the whole way. We entered the hotel, passing a few vagrants and drug addicts lounging in the lobby, who stared at Elizabeth in her black sexy dress as we hurried by.
