“What are you doing here?” Alex spat out with so much disdain in his voice and no empathy or even an ounce of regret that I had just caught him tongue f*****g my best friend, I could barely breathe I closed my eyes tightly repeatedly to clear my eyes maybe I wasn't seeing clearly I thought to myself

“This can't be real, this can't be real,” I said over and over again, my heart was aching so bad worse than it ever have

“Why?” I asked with hot tears streaming from my eyes

“How could you do this to me?” I asked looking at Maddie who was standing in the corner of the room like a kid caught doing something bad

“It should have been anyone but you” I sobbed

“What could I ever have done to you to deserve this, I took you like my family my blood,” I said to her but she just stared at me blankly with no emotion on her face

“I have shown up for you time after time when no one did!!” I screamed at her with my teary voice, the fact that she didn't even act like she cared or was remorseful agitated me

“And this is how you pay me back?!!!” I asked heaving for breath

“Don't f*****g speak to her like that!” Alex shouted at me

“How dare you, how dare you raise your voice at me?” I asked him

“I just caught you with my f*****g best friend and you have the audacity to raise your voice at me!?” I snapped at him catching him off guard for a minute, I was always the meek and obedient wife never for once have I spoken rudely to him

“And you think I care?” he let out a scoff

“I'm your wife, how can you be so mean to me?” I asked with uncontrollable tears flowing down

“Were, I'm done with you sign the papers and keep the little dignity you have left” he spat at me bitterly

“Are you leaving me because of her?” I asked crying

“You already heard everything, why do you want to go through the heartache again?” he asked wearing a smug smile

“Anyways, Maddie is carrying my child we would get married and live together as we should have, instead of being stuck with you,” he told me wrapping his arm around Maddie as he spoke, I let out a loud scream catching them by surprise. It felt like I was in a horror film. I didn't know how to react to anything anymore, I just wanted it to stop everything to stop.

I stood up from the floor slowly, I felt weak and drained and my head was spinning. I walked up to Maddie, I could see a glint of fear in her eyes as I moved closer and closer to her

“It was a mistake, right? You didn't mean to, right?” I asked it sounded like I was begging grabbing onto her shirt

“Just tell me please!” I begged looking into her eyes desperately waiting for her to say something, she yanked my hands away from her shirt roughly

“I don't have s**t to say to you,” she said looking right into my eyes, immediately my body felt numb I couldn't feel a thing anymore. I was confused if I was looking at the same person, the same person I called my best friend and who has been all I have for almost ten years the coldness in her eyes made her unrecognizable

“Maddison, is this how you pay me back after all we have been through together?” I asked weakly

“I never asked anything from you, yes you did help me a lot but what do you want from me? Do you expect me to kiss your ass for the rest of my life?” she said with no remorse making me shocked to my bones if not that I was witnessing it play out in front of me live I would have laughed at anyone’s face if they told me Madison had said that. This was the same person that I worked my ass off to pay her debt, when we were in college Madison took money from loan sharks to pay for her college tuition. After lavishing the one her parents gave to her, she came to me crying that she couldn’t let her parents know and I held without judging her.

She was locked up and they threatened to harm her if the loan wasn't paid off. I took out a loan to settle her debt and worked tirelessly day and night to pay it off but never for once did I complain to her she was like a family to me and this is what I get in return. I took my hand with all the energy I had in me and dropped a dirty slap right across her face

“How dare you!” Alex shouted

“Are you okay love?” he asked Maddie with concern written all over his face, he had never looked at me that way

“I'm fine,” Maddie said to him before turning to me with a scorn on her face

“You are just a jealous b***h because he would never love you, you are a shameless woman that threw herself over a man that doesn't love you,” Maddie said straight to my face, the content of her words didn't hurt me what hurt me was that it came from her, it should have been anyone but her

“How long has this been going on?” I asked, I knew I wasn't prepared for the answer but I just wanted to know it as it was

“Since the very day you wouldn't stop yapping about him, I sucked his d**k and he has never left me ever since then,” she said with a smirk on her face. I remembered the day vividly like it was yesterday. That was the day Alex asked me to go on a date with him. I was so happy and over the skies that I could not stop talking about him.

“Right baby?” she said to Alex and he placed a kiss on her lips they laughed mocking me to my face, I couldn’t take it anymore I wiped the tears falling from my eyes, looking at both of them as they stared at me wondering what I would do. I just walked out of the door in defeat, I heard their mocking laughter behind me but there was nothing I could do, I bent my head in shame and walked out of the building with tears clouding my vision.

I just kept on walking with no direction. I couldn't hear a single thing, it was like I had gone completely deaf the only thing that kept on ringing in my head was their mocking laughs. I was lost in my own world until I heard a loud blaring horn calling me back to reality finding myself in the middle of the road blinded by the bright light of a truck charging towards me with so much speed.

Before I could react I felt the impact of the truck slam against me throwing me halfway across the road, the pain raged through my body and everything went silent just high-pitched ringing that kept ringing in my ear

“My baby, please save my baby” I kept saying clutching my tummy tightly before everywhere went dark and silent
