Maddie rushed out of grandfather's hospital room looking disturbed and as pale as paper she looked like blood had drained away from her
“Are you good?” I asked, her eyes were fixed on me but it looked like she was distant, she didn’t respond almost as if she didn’t hear the question
“Hey, is everything alright?” I asked nudging her a little and it was like I snapped her back to reality
“Yeah I am fine,” she said with an awkward laugh
“What did he want this time?” I asked
“He just needed help with something nothing much” she answered anxiously, I took a glance at the door she just walked out of then back to her
“Let’s go,” she said moving me away
“Are you sure you are good?” I asked I could feel how tense she was
