40. Guessed truth

Axel's Point of View

Tilbe: It is the truth, isn't it?

I take the blindfold off while getting out of the small compartment, from where I was listening.

Axel: Your confidence says that you already believe in her.

I mean by suggesting their marriage, she have already shown them a way and that she is on their side and that she believe them.

Tilbe: Well you will have stop me if I was doing something wrong anyway, so I guess it's quite alright.

I sigh while standing by the table.

Tilbe: And besides if they were indeed lying, then I can always rectify it now.

I shake my head in disbelieve.

Axel: Well if they did get married and if he was indeed an Iklu native or have a way to prove that he is from Iklu, then even if they have an ill intention, how will you stop them?

She look at me a bit stressed for a bit but then it change into unfazed in few seconds again.

Tilbe: Well if I was that smart, that I could figure everything out. What would you do then, so I reluctantly but happily leave those for you.

I look at her in disbelieve while she just smile at me.

Axel: Well Iam in luck then, she is indeed saying the truth about everything. So genuine, but I don't know what lies beyond her word. So careful there little gift.

She nod her head happily when I said that.

By the way, even though I can't see them, I can still know if they are saying the truth just by listening to them. So may it be in court or anywhere else, when Iam needed I always do it this way, listened to them without showing my existence.

Tilbe: What a relief that she is saying the truth. I thought she was quite cool, so it will be quite a disappointment if she was lying.

I just pat her head looking at her silently. Her constant attachment with other people within a short period of time is really a concern.

She is someone who can be taken advantage of in million of ways, so many people like to be close to her for their own benefits. So she always has to be careful of anyone that approach her, while here she is always getting attached to everyone and each one of their problem.

But then I guess, that is what make Tilbe, Tilbe and is what make her kind and compassionate. So I don't really want her to change that, although she might end up getting hurt because of it. So what I have to do is just guard her by the side, to make sure she is okay. Iam glad I can at least do that.

Axel: Iam of the knowledge that when Heri constantly warn you about helping them, you were constantly lying with your answer. I wonder why that is.

I look at her in full suspicion while she look at me sheepishly.

Tilbe: I swear if I can I will also not help, but I kinda wanna. So that must be why it's a lie when I said I won't help.

I shake my head at that.

Axel: Or it might be because you have made up your mind that you will help them.

She smile at me one more time, while I flick her forehead but gently.

Axel: You know that you cannot just help them like that and it might be dangerous, so why is your mind going that way?

Tilbe: First of all, that flick hurt and second of all I was of course going to ask you first.

Well that is the truth, but the things that make me wonder in surprise is the fact that the first thing she said is also the truth.

I mean I barely touch her, so how the heck does it hurt?

I stare at my fingers in wonder for a while, but quickly go back to the conversation.

Axel: Anyway, so how are you going to help her again?

Iam all ready for any ridiculous ideas she will come up with. And by ridiculous I mean, things that will put her in danger but she won't care of.

Tilbe: So you know how I didn't tell anyone about her power.

I nod, yes she seems to know or have a gist of what Karina can do.

Tilbe: Well just to be sure I need to be near her, so I will make sure that I do meet her again and during that time, if I can then I will help on whatever plan they have.

I sigh not really surprised by what she have come up with.

Axel: Please tell me you will meet them with someone, please.

She scrunch up her face in a weird way and by that I know she is planning something I won't like.

Tilbe: Well she can hurt Vann and very easily at that, which means she can hurt others as well. So it is a bit hard to take someone with me.

I look at her in disbelieve, what about her well being then?

Tilbe: And before you said anything else, she can't seems to hurt me so, I'll be fine.

Axel: Seems! Seems! That is not something I will bet your life against.

She sigh when I said that.

Tilbe: Well it was not like I expect you to accept happily so Iam fine. If only Grandpa was here, then he would have known.

She sigh regrettably while I just look at her silently waiting for another of her attempt to convince me to have her ways. She is not the type to give up this easily.

Tilbe: Well didn't you said that she is saying the truth in everything, so why would she hurt me?

And there it is.

Axel: Then I suppose, you can bring Vann or anyone else along.

She look at me sceptically for a while.

Tilbe: Touche!

I nod agreeing with her on that one.

Axel: Well what was your guess on her power anyway?

I mean why is she so afraid and how is she able to guess, cause by all the information I have which is all she have as well, I can hardly guess of anything.

Tilbe: Well looking at Vann being attack, he just fall off all weak and like he was sick, but without any vivid pain anywhere.

I nod, that is upto how much I heard as well.

Tilbe: Well Karina's main aim was to escape that time, she was not really upto negotiate or anything like that. So she should have attack me too, mainly with that much ability so her not doing so means probably she can't do it.

I nod again in agreement, this is likely the case.

Tilbe: Then there is two conclusion I came into. One is, she is not able to attack two people at a time but that is likely to be wrong cause she is unfazed when she attack Vann.

I nod again, not really aware of where she is going with this.

Tilbe: So the middle ground is she can't attack me.

Yes if she can, she will attack her rather than Vann. To attack her is much more advantageous anyway.

Tilbe: So my guess is she can suppressed someone ability and make them physically weak or that she can numb someone ability, cause Vann lose his power almost completely when she use her ability on him, I can feel that.

I nod understanding her point of view.

And that must be why she let Karina go so easily, cause she fear for Vann's life.

Axel: Among the west witch, suppressing someone's ability or lifeline even is quite common. So it is likely.

She nod too.

Tilbe: Then she is not able to do it to me because?

I look at her stupified, like it's her theory. Shouldn't I be the one asking?

Looking at my expression she sigh.

Tilbe: Well this is a bit far fetch, but she is not able to because Iam of grant royal blood?

She said it more like a question while I look at her in question as well.

Axel: You have work quite hard and come up with many things as well, I think ' royal blood' is asking for you to rest.

She slap me in my shoulder looking at me annoyed, while I just chuckle.

Axel: Well we can only find out about all the answer if we went and ask.

She look at me waiting for the catch while I also look at her impressed at how much she know me.

Axel: You take me along with you.

She look at me in disbelieve while I smile at her like she usually do to me, making her pout in disagreement.

Tilbe: But you hate going out and it can be dangerous for you too.

Axel: Well didn't you say royal blood are not affected, look at me.

She sigh in complete disbelieve while I chuckle looking at her, and pat her bowed down head.

Tilbe: You can't even let go of one tiny thing, can you?

She look up at me with her puffed cheeks while I shake my head in a no at her.

Tilbe: Well I like the idea of you going out.

I shake my head at her innocence, she thinks Iam going out.

I obviously know that, they will meet on secret given that the other one is not a citizen of Iklu and also given the fact that Tilbe is also hiding that she is meeting her or them.

And obviously I will be blindfolded again, so.

Axel: Just tell them Iam blind when I went out though.

She sulk in disagreement while I just pat her head looking at her with a small smile.

Tilbe: But what will happen if she hurts you?

She sound so genuinely concerned and so feared that I don't have the heart to say what I feel and don't have the courage to feel what I just feel so I forget about it and said otherwise

Axel: Well if she is going to suppressed my Tama, then heck I will welcome her with an open arms.

She look at me dryly while I look at her on a Iam serious mode.

Tilbe: Ax!!

Axel: Okay, okay. Well didn't you say if she come to your kingdom and try to hurt your people then they will regret it, Iam sure you can keep your word.

Tilbe: But I was just bluffing back then.

I look at her in disbelieve mainly because when she said that, she is really speaking the truth and also, she said it so innocently like it is the one and only truth making it impossible for me to refute.

Axel: Either we are going together or none of us are?

Low? I know.

Tilbe: Deal, we will meet her tomorrow at four am in the morning.
