30. Unsolved.

Vann's Point Of View.

We reach the inner side of the palace in a bit and went inside with me following them in.

It is a bit weird that this is the first time I have ever been to Tilbe home when I have known her for all my life, and mainly when she live in mine like her very own

Tilbe: Welcome to our humble abode, this is your first time here right?

I nod while going in their common room.

Ax: I'll be out in a minute, let me just change.

With that he went away in the other room while Tilbe and me sit down by the couch.

Tilbe: Want something to drink Vann?

I nod in a no.

Tilbe: Thats a shame! So can you pass me a drink please?

I look at her in disbelieve while she look back at me with a cheeky smile.

That little, she ask me if I want a drink cause she want it, didn't she?

Vann: This was your plan from the beginning, isn't it?

She nod cutely with a grin while I chuckled at her antics.

Tilbe: I need one immediately, I feel parched.

I went over to the very huge refrigerator which is very much oblivious to the sigh.

I went and open up the fridge, and it was really very Tilbe like. As half of it is covered with different kind of ice creams and juice and shakes.

I take the apple juice and went and gave it to her while she once again smile at me, showing her gratitude.

Tilbe: Thank you.

She happily drink her juice while I went over to the fridge once again and take out some berries and wash them quickly.

Tilbe: Huh? Are you hungry Vann?

I look her from their window like wall which seperate the kitchen and the common room.

And shake my head in a no. While she look at me confused by my answer.

Tilbe: Then why are you cooking?

I once again look at her in disbelieve.

How am I cooking right now.

I put the wash up fruits in the first bowl I saw and went over where she is.

Vann: Washing something is no cooking little genius.

She just shrug while I offer her the plate full of colourfull berries of different kind.

Vann: Eat up, you will need some regeneration to do for all the energy you have lost.

She meticulously pick up a piece, choosing I don't know what. And I though she will eat it, but instead she gave it to me. I confusedly but surely open my mouth while she pop it in.

Tilbe: Ax says we are suppose to offer food to guest when they visit and that, it is good manner. So thats my offering.

I chuckled at her logic.

Tilbe: I know, I know you prepare it and all, but hey I offered and I was told to do only that.

I once again shake my head in disbelieve while at the same time feeding her the berries two at a time, she like that.

Vann: Well you grow it yourself, so it's only fair I guess.

She turn to me, her mood glee totally agreeing with me.

Vann: By the way Tilbe, your cousin; are you sure he is okay? If there is anything I can help with, please let me know.

She frown as she hear that, making me regret speaking up about it. She is sensitive to any topic concerning him, I should have just stay silent; mainly after everything she have went through tonight, she dont need anything else to bother her.

Tilbe: Brother!

Huh? Whats that suppose to mean again.

Vann: What?

Tilbe: He is my brother, so please adress him as so.

This time I glare at her, while she look at me confusedly.

Vann: Thats the only thing you get from what I said?

Tilbe: Well that was the most important part!

And she shrug while busily looking for another berry to eat.

Vann: So?

She looked up, as if realising that she still need to answer something and then her mouth form in a oh, making me smile at her dryly.

Tilbe: Well no, his is not a physical problem exactly?

I look at her confused, expecting her to say more while she suddenly stand up making me flinch back startled.

Tilbe: I need to change too, I'll be out in a jiffy.

And with that she ran away while I sigh to myself. Well, I mean it's not like I expect her to tell me anything about it anyway.

She has always been like this regarding this topic, either she will run or she will fake something to get out of it. And this make me just more curious as to what the reason is, although I tried to give her as much space as possible; sometimes my curiosity just snap. And today must be such a day.

Actually before when we were little, she always brag about her finally having a cousin brother and how they can finally hang out like Heri and I do.

And she always tries to make me go to her house to meet him and even take him to mine. But one way or other, we never got to meet each other and it continues to go on like that.

But suddenly when she was about eleven, she suddenly just stop.

She never brought up about him anymore and there were rumours that her cousin left Iklu.

The palace shut down which around when she was heavily injured, thus the expected reason of shutting as much people out as possible.

During that time, she for sometimes become sullen, and just seem depressed. But both Heri and I thought she was sad because of the departure of her brother as she said.

But then suddenly every time she told me something or any story around her home, she always mention Ax and when I ask about it, she always have one or other excuse not to tell me about it.

She seems uncomfortable when I ask about him or why I can't go to her house anymore, so slowly I stop asking her. Making her uncomfortable was the last thing I want to do, and also it can wait till she want to share it with me.

But seeing as Ax is her cousin and he have never leave and has always been here have raised some questions in my mind again.

If he was here from before, then why was he kept hidden for so long? And beside why is Tilbe so bent on hiding his existence even from me and Heri.

Cause I know for a fact that she trust us more than anything and share all kind of things with us. From the top confidential of the kingdom down to her secret habit. So why not this time.

And moreover, why was Ax covering his eye with the blindfold when he clearly can see with no problem.

Cause as per record, he can see and run from the palace to my home, so why the need to cover his eye when he come to our home.

And he also answered that my sister cannot come here because he have seen her. So does that mean the problem lies with his eyes and who he see?

If that is so, and if that is what he is trying to protect, then it make sense that he was hidden so he can see no one. But why? Why is him seeing a problem?

As I was contemplating all this, Axel walks in in full black and her eyes tied with a black satin tie. His hand stretch out and feeling around for the environment as he cannot see.

I quickly get up to help him but before I can, he stumbled over the foot of a table and was falling when I quickly go over and hold him by his waist while he fell in my arm awkwardly.

We stay in that position shock at how the situation just circulate and how we quickly react. While we were in this awkward situation, I heard a gasp and when I look over; It was Tilbe standing there with a hand on her mouth.

Tilbe: I was gone for like a minute and you guys have already been so close and affectionate?

She look at us impressed while both Ax and me awkwardly stand up and try to cough it off.

And I know Tilbe don't mean her words the way I think she means, but it still is pretty affective given the situation and my wild mind.

Axel: Well, I have to get to know him somehow. You are way too fond of him and always talks about him.

Tilbe chuckled cutely when he said that, while I grin in joy hearing that.

Tilbe: Well that is true, now both of you sit down. Lets think about stuff.

She ushered us to the couch and all there of us plop down in the ridiculously huge couch. Me in the right side while Ax on the left and Tilbe on the middle with her feet on the couch as well, swallowed by it completely.

Axel: Well, Uncle Jo will be here as quick as he can. Which is in two days.

Tilbe sigh hearing that, while I nod along.

Tilbe: Have you told grandpa?

And both of us look at him, our head turned to his side uniformly while he nod in a no.

Axel: I can't reach him, he won't pick up my calls.

Tilbe nod again while groaning.

Tilbe: This means more work for me right? I hate this, I was hoping they will be back quickly and me, I will continue on my happy life.

Ax shake his head is disbelieve at that while I just sigh.

Axel: I also really don't know where to start from.

I nod along, I also have no clue how to go on from this. I mean Iklu is no small kingdom, so it will be quite hard to find someone, especially if they try to hide themselves.

Vann: Should we inform the people about someone being inside and let them inform us about any info?

Axel: I also consider that, but that might become dangerous. As they might attack anyone who have saw them if he or she knew, they can expose them. So it might be a bit dangerous, what do you think?

I nod in agreement once again. Cause we should tried to avoid it as much as we can, any type of danger to anyone.

Ax: Whoever have enter will not have known that we are searching for them already, let alone know of their entry. So the secrecy may be advantageous to us.

Vann: Yeah likely, and this way they will let their gaurd down as well.

He nod when I said that, while we both think of ways to solve the problem. And that is when we heard a loud yawn, making me look back at Tilbe who is sitting there sleepily.

Tilbe: Let's sleep now, it's late.

And she gave us her signature smile but this time lazily while I look at her in disbelieve. And here I though she was listening to us

But can I be more wrong.
