32. Unexpected!

Heri's Point of View

I heard a knock on the door making me go up and open the door expecting it to be Galen and my expectation was true, as it indeed was him.

Heri: Hello, come on in.

He said his own hello and we both went inside, in the common room.

Heri: Want a drink or tea?

He nod in a no while sitting down by the couch and I follow.

Galen: Let's get over whatever is happening first.

I nod as well, other things can wait.

Heri: Well Tilbe was here before as she was quite unwell, and when she was treated, she told us someone has got inside Iklu without the proper pass but she dont know who it is.

He nod in understanding as I said that.

Galen: Okay, so whats the plan now?

I look at him startled for a while and then hesitantly shake my head from left to right.

Heri: I don't know.

He looked at me, a bit surprised by my answer while I do too. I mean when I call him, I make it seems like it's something very urgent and it really is, but now that he is here; there is nothing we can do about it.

So why was I calling him so urgently to begin with?

Heri: Tilbe, Vann and Ax have gone back to the palace to figure things out while I was made to stay and discuss things with you.

He nod in understanding once again while I sigh in embarrassment.

Heri: Sorry, now that I think about it clearly, I think you don't need to rush here yourself that too this late at night when we can do nothing about it and have to just wait along with me. I should have called when there is something more to do.

He chuckled at my words.

Galen: I should thank Tilbe again once more.

I give him a confused look, where does this come from now.

Galen: She keeps on giving me more and more time to spend with you, making me damn grateful.

I smile at that, my heart as usual skipping a beat and my stomach fluttering.

Heri: Now I know why I called you directly without thinking much of it.

This time he look at me, expecting me to say further of what I have said.

Heri: Cause I did miss you a lot, and at that time this was the perfect excuse.

A smile light up on his handsome face, showing off his pearly white teeth and the most gorgeous smile.

Galen: Next time, if you even come close to missing me, please call. Iam happy to comply anytime cause I probably miss you more.

My smile widen to a grin while he smile looking at me with adoration clear in his eye, making my heart swoon in ecstasy.

Galen: But today, I hurried a bit hearing your words so while we think of way to get whoever get inside, can you please feed me.

I look at him in guilt, seriously I should have check whether he is doing something when I called, mainly when he can think from his place as well.

Galen: You see, I was just about to eat when you call me, so Iam quite hungry.

He look at me cutely while rubbing his stomach which growls at the same time as if it understand the situation, making me chuckle in amusement.

Heri: Since I was the one who disturb your dinner, let me be the one to cook for you this time. What do you want to eat?

He shrug when I said that.

Galen: Anything you have is fine, the easier to make the better.

Wow he must have been really hungry if it is to this point.

Heri: Okay, follow me.

He nod and like that we went to the kitchen where I made him sit by the island while I quickly go through everything we have.

I wash an apple quickly and gave it to him.

Heri: Munch on it while I cook please.

He gratefully took it and start to munch in it, while I put a big bowl of rice on the microwave to warm it.

After that I put on the apron kept by me and bring out the left over fried beef we eat before.

I once again fried it adding the necessary garnishes. I was done with that in a second as it was an already cooked stuff.

I place it in a bowl and serve it by the island while the rice was also done, so I also serve him that. Looking as the dishes are too plain, I open up the tasty chili pickle Vann make and put some in a small bowl.

Then looking as it have no balancer, I quickly make an egg soup with some chive which is quite easy to make. And while I was doing that, I looked back at Galen cause I can feel his stare.

And as he saw me looking at him, he spoke up first.

Galen: I want to be married quickly.

Heri: What?

I look at him a bit surprised by his words and the odd timing of when it's said.

Galen: Whenever I come back home tired from work, the fact that there will be someone waiting at home, who will be worried whether Iam hungry and whether I can get warm food quickly is really endearing.

And he pick one of the meat and chew on it with a smile while I look at him in fake suspiciousness

Heri: Why do I feel like, Iam going to be there just for worrying about your meal?

He smile brightly when I said that while I look at him a bit confused

Galen: I have been progressing pretty quickly now that when I mention my wife, you think of it as you.

I blushed as he said that and quickly turn back to my cooking while he chuckle at my action.

Galen: And by the way, the fact that I will have someone who I will be constantly worried about, just show that I finally have someone I hold dear to, so I'll worry about you too.

I look back and smile when he said that.

Heri: Of course the deal is only fair that way.

He smile when he saw that I didn't refute in anything that he say, while in turn that made me happy as well.

But sometimes, looking at him smiling I only see sadness and loneliness weirdly. I wonder if Iam just overthinking?

Just then my soup was done so I get it over in the table.

Heri: Now please dig in.

He smile and was about to when I stop him.

Heri: Wait, wait there is one more.

And I went to the fridge and take out a cucumber and peel it properly and slice it thinly and plate it.

Heri: Here this will blend the spices more.

And I place the plate there while he quickly take out his phone and click a picture of the food kept there.

Heri: Wow, didn't take you for the type to take picture of food.

And besides the said food is not even that pretty to begin with.

Galen: You are right in thinking so, Iam not such type.

I look at him with an eyebrow raised in question, while he kept his phone back after checking the picture properly.

Galen: It been such a long time since someone make me dinner with such earnestness and love, so I wanted to captured the moment.

And he dig in while I look at him a bit shocked by his reasons. But nonetheless I smile warmly at him while happily looking at him eating to his heart contend.

Heri: Want desert?

He look up at me and shrug.

Galen: Everything for eating is welcome by me.

I nod with a broad smile totally agreeing with him on this while I cut the fruits up, making a fruit punch.

I chop some up while he eat besides me.

Heri: I wonder if we would really be able to catch the intruder?

He look at me, clearly in doubt himself.

Galen: Clearly it will be hard, but don't underestimate Tilbe's abilities. She will figure something out, she know Iklu better than she know herself.

I nod agreeing at that, Tilbe do know and take good care of Iklu to the point that it is always peaceful and prosperous.

Heri: I guess, she have done many unimaginable things, that make me wonder if she really is a human.

He chuckled when I said that.

Galen: Says the so called brain of Iklu.

I shudder hearing that, yes that's the nickname given to me, like they call Tilbe fruit basket although they don't know much about my ability.

Heri: I think I prefer Heri, calling me a brain is a bit disturbing.

I stood up and take the huge cup and put on all the fruits I have cut up into two clear cup and there open the sparkling water and pour some in it. And offer one to Galen who is done with his eating.

Galen: Thank you for the food, everything was just so tasty.

I smile at him when he said that while eating the watermelon in my cup.

Galen: I guess, having someone to company me when I eat is also a blessing.

And this are the times, I feel he is truly lonely even though he smile as he said it.

And certainly he must have been lonely, he is an orphan after all and besides he don't have any sibling or close relative. It just him and the house.

Heri: If Iam going to be complimented this much for just a simple dinner, then please you are always welcome on my kitchen. Please come all the time.

He smile when I said that and raise his hand making me look at him in confusion.

Galen: It's a promise right?

And he raised his pinky making me chuckled at his antics. But nonetheless I kept the cup down and hook my pinky with his.

Heri: A promise which will never be broken.

He smile when I said that, and I do too while keeping my eye on his as he did with mine. And when I do look at him, it feel like I only see him and nothing else.

I can openly see the loneliness, joy, nervousness and happiness in his eyes. The red eye seems just like an open book to me, but it can't be compared to anything of the million of books I have read through.

Galen: Ugg! I can't help in anymore, I was trying so hard to restraint myself but..

And he stood up and the next second his lips were on mine, while I stand there shook.
