This will be our little surprise.” Jovanna’s smile encompassed her entire face. “Really? Thank you! You are the nicest person I know!” Carina smiled. “No, thank you.” Jovanna left, holding the vase tightly so that she wouldn’t drop it. When she finally reached her house, she hid the flower from her mother and waited for her father to get home. When he did, she noticed that he hadn’t brought anything back for her mother again. She decided to surprise her mother with the flower by making her think that her father had brought it. While her father cleaned up for dinner, she brought the flower into the kitchen and placed it on the table while her mother wasn’t looking. F
