Ch. 1 My Lovely Dorm

1485 Words
June 23rd, the year is 2024, It’s another normal day for every person on Earth. Do the same thing every day and get up from their slumber. Some people might sleep in instead of getting up when they are supposed to. “Is she going to get up anytime soon,” A girl asked while doing her makeup. “You know that she likes to sleep in, Kari,” Another girl said while playing games on her computer. “Leila’s right, it’s like nothing can wake that girl up,” A third girl said laughing. “Yeah, but yet we are still left with the responsibility to try and get her up,” Kari said sighing. She walked over to the side of the bed, “Hey Ming, it’s time to get up.” Ming looked up at Kari and whined, “It’s too early...” She covered her head with the blanket and peeked out at them. The girls all laughed, and Ming joined in. Ming got out of bed and started to get ready with everyone else. “Today are the club sign ups, right,” Ming asked. “Yeah, do any of you know what club you’re going to do,” Leila asked. “I don’t know, there are so many choices,” Kari said thinking, “It makes my brain hurt.” The girls all giggled. “What about you, Ming,” Kari said. Ming thought for a second then leaned back in her chair, “I haven’t really thought about it, I kind of want to see what you guys choose.” “Yeah, it would be awesome to stay all together,” Leila said, “And what about you Sonia?” Sonia looked up at the girls, “I don’t know but I agree with Ming, we should all stick together.” They all smiled and laughed. “I hope we are always together,” Ming said. (In the boy's dormitory) “Take back your dirty laundry bro, it smells so bad,” One guy said throwing a pile of socks in the air. “No man, those are yours, they smell terrible,” A second guy said, “They are yours, Rai!” “Hey, will you stop throwing socks Rai and Masaki,” A third guy said, “It smells bad enough in here already!” Rai and Masaki both looked at him. “Yes, we’re sorry we understand.” Rai said sarcastically. They picked up the socks and got ready to attack. “Sike!” They both yelled, throwing socks, when he turned around. “Very funny, you two,” he said throwing the socks back at them, “your turn!” “Oh no, Vix is going to get us, run,” Masaki said sarcastically. The door to their dorm opened and another boy came through carrying some deliveries. Rai ran up to him, “Xin, you brought my packages! Thanks, man.” “This one is for Masaki, and this one is yours right Vix,” Xin said handing out the packages and sitting his own on his bed. “Hey Xin, have you decided what club you’re going to do,” Masaki asked. “No, I’m actually going to look on the website now,” Xin said opening his laptop. Masaki, Rai, and Vix all looked at each other. Rai closed Xin’s laptop, “Well, look no further, we are starting our own club!” “Your own club,” Xin said doubtingly. “Yeah, and we must have 8 members sign up to make it official,” Vix said, “We only have us three, so we need you and four others.” “Alright, I’ll go and support you guys,” Xin said agreeing. “What do you mean just four other members, Vix,” Rai said, “We are going to get a ton with 4 handsome faces in the club!” Xin laughed, “Maybe not all four.” Masaki and Vix laughed. “What? Hey!” Rai said as he looked at the time, “Oh man, we’re going to be late, we have to set up the booth at 1:00 p.m.” “Let’s hurry,” Masaki said, “You too, Xin!” (Back at the girl's dormitory/ 2:00 p.m.) “Ming, can you pass me my notebook,” Sonia asked. “Yeah, of course, but what for,” Ming asked going back to Sonia’s desk. “So, I can take notes on the clubs when we pass the booths,” Sonia replied. “Oh okay, here you go,” Ming said handing the notebook to her, “Now let’s all get going, it ends at 6:00.” The girls leave the dorm and go out to the front of the school, where the booths are set up. (At the front of the school) “Wow, look how many clubs there are and so many people,” Kari said as the girls all stay close in the crowd. “Look how pretty it is out, the flowers are blooming,” Ming said pointing at the trees. “You’re right, it’s so pretty,” Leila suggested, “Maybe we should consider a gardening club, wouldn’t that be fun?” The girls agreed and kept looking around at the different clubs. “Hey, that one over there in the corner looks cool,” Sonia said. “I can’t believe we got stuck with this bad corner, almost no one comes over here,” Rai said. “Hey, it’s better than nothing plus it’s our fault for getting here late,” Masaki sighed. “Hi,” The girls said standing in front of the booth. “’Paranormal activity’,” Kari read. “What activities are in this club,” Ming asked. “Well, I’m glad you asked, beautiful ladies,” Rai said, “This club is for the daring and the brave, do you think you can handle it?” “I don’t know, that’s why we're asking,” Leila laughed with the girls. “Basically, we are going to go to abandoned places and places that are ‘haunted’ and just see if we find any paranormal activity,” Vix explained showing them the posters they made and giving them information packets. “Oh, that sounds cool, there aren’t a lot of interesting clubs to do,” Ming said, “It’s mostly all sports, and well none of us are well sporty.” “Well, if you’re interested in any of our handsome faces, I mean the club just join us and see if you like it,” Rai said. “Alright thank you,” Sonia said pushing the girls back towards the dorm, “We should get going, we’ll think about it!” (Back at the girl’s dormitory/ 5:30 p.m.) “That was kind of fun,” Leila said. “Yeah, if you count being in a crowd and being pestered to ‘join our club’, ‘join our club’ fun,” Sonia complained, “Then, yeah, it was fun.” They all laughed. “Well, the one club in the corner didn’t seem too bad,” Kari suggested. “Yeah, I agree, I think that would be fun,” Ming said going to sit on her bed. (At the boy’s dormitory/ 6:20) “I can’t wait to dig in, the food smells good,” Masaki said, “Great idea for picking up some food Rai, I’m starving!” “Well, I can’t help but be brilliant,” Rai laughed, “Now let’s sit down and eat!” (An hour later) “I’m stuffed that was delicious, again good idea my man,” Masaki said. “You know it, my dude,” Rai said falling asleep on the table. “These two, they just stuff themselves and sleep, it’s all they do,” Vix said reading his book. “Well, that’s Masaki and Rai for you,” Xin said laughing with Vix. (The girl’s dormitory/ 8:44 p.m.) “Thanks for the meal, Sonia,” The girls said again. “By the way, what club should we pick,” Ming said thinking of earlier that day. “Well, I have some notes here but most of the clubs were sports or already were full of members,” Sonia said flipping through her notebook. Kari stopped her and pointed at one of the pages, “How about this one, it seemed pretty interesting, and those guys were nice?” “It’s an option, and they were pretty cool,” Leila said shrugging her shoulders. “True, it’s getting late though, let’s get some rest and we can talk about it tomorrow,” Sonia said going to her bed. Everyone else headed to their bed and got cozy. “Goodnight you guys,” Ming said. “Goodnight,” The girls said. “And sweet dreams,” Ming whispered going to sleep.
