Jorjette’s Pov
My body shook for a moment as I saw Jake crashing down onto one of the tables violently. A knife almost pierced into his back but an Alpha was quick to get it away. The whole place turned silent and all we could hear was Jake scrambling to get up.
“Are you okay?” Roman turned to look at me, cupping my cheeks. My body felt soothed and the disgust as well as restlessness I felt from interacting with Jake all washed away.
“Yes,” I replied, holding his palms that were on my cheek.
“Did he hurt you?” He asked, turning me around to check me.
“You didn't let him,” I replied with a smile on my face.
