As the situation was diffused with Asher feeling complacent at the way Jette put Jake in his place, I turned to Alpha Eden. “Can you repeat what you told me over the phone? We can deliberate more on it here.”
“Well, it's simple.” Eden began, sitting up in his seat but Cora seemed to cling onto him more and I almost pinched my nose in annoyance.
He then continued, “The rogues contacted me about joining them and they asked me to rope Alpha Jake in as well. And I guess that's why you invited him to this meeting, right?”
“Yes,” I answered.
