Roman’s Pov
The meeting was done and I sat back on my chair to collect my thoughts as all other Alphas left. Jorjette had blown me away with her proposal and though I was aware that her Pack had difficulties, she was solving them efficiently. My head was bowed and I felt a presence around me. It was so familiar and I looked up to see Jorjette staring at me.
“What are you doing here?” I asked, with a serious gaze.
“Why are you staying back?” She asked back and I pressed my lips into a thin line. I didn't want to kick up a conversation with her even though Asher was kicking up a storm inside of me.
All through the meeting and the time she stood beside Jake, it took all the strength in me to suppress Asher from causing me to throw Jake away from her.
