I tense up immediately, at the mention of Gabe. The memory of him and even the times I spent with him, were starting to fade into the distance but with the mere mention of his name, everything came back like a mighty rushing wind.
I saw Roman glance at me, and I didn’t want him to think the mention of Gabe affected me, though it reminded me of my pending deal with the Moon Goddess.
“Yes? Go on.” I spoke to Eden since he now had his eyes on me. My voice was steady, causing Roman to look away from me.
Even Jake glanced at me with a curious look as my history with Gabe wasn’t a secret. They probably still thought I was still hurt from all the things he did to me but then all I wanted to do now, was kill him. And to do that, someone else must die with him.
