I walked out of my study room, feeling there was something wrong with the atmosphere in the Packhouse. Roman was left inside, as he was sorting a few paperwork. I then beckoned to a maid that was going about her duties.
“Get a guard with you and check on Alpha Jake and Alpha Eden. Remind them that we will be leaving in two hours.” I instructed and she nodded. I figured the drug they were fed would have lost its effects by now.
And even at the thought of what may happened to them, I did not feel guilty about having to go through that means to get what I wanted.
