“Can I take a look at a mirror again?”
Brian laughed heartily alongside Vince who acted like he was overwhelmed. Everyone in the office clapped him except his greatest haters, Bernard and Amber.
He was getting transferred to the CEO floor as an executive assistant. An opportunity any of the other employees would wish for.
“Congratulations Mr Finn, your ancestors had amazing foresight to choose such a remarkable name for you.” One of them joked and the others laughed too.
Bernard scoffed. He couldn’t hold back his steaming jealousy. He knew he needed to feel good about himself, so he decided to butt in during the happy time.
“Well, maybe becoming the CEO’s shadow is worth celebrating. I wouldn’t know of course, I am too good for such and….”
