The meeting ended soon and everyone dispersed back to their departments. There were talks in the group but Kate didn’t care.
After exchanging handshakes with some top attorneys, she flattered them with their commitment to the firm. Despite knowing they all did dirty deals, she knew they would be caught with time.
Kate didn’t bother returning to the CEO’s floor with Jake Darius and Vince. She insisted that the bodyguards led her back to her car so she could return to the mansion. Jake didn’t probe, he knew the older woman had access to him and her grandson anytime.
