I agreed. We checked out the next cabin. It was only half full, so we claimed the bunks near the rear windows. Each had a small lockable trunk beside them, so we stashed our belongings into the trunk and locked it. I put the key, which was on a chain, around my neck. There was also a whiteboard above the head of the bed where you can write your name. The bunks had a pile of sheets, a pillow, and a blanket on each. Two of the other beds had already been made. Without saying anything, I shook out my sheets and made my bed. Lee followed suit.
“I want to go out and look around,” Lee said, checking her bed to make sure everything was right. “Come on. Let’s see what our competition looks like.”
