Abnormal

KAYLEE I couldn't feel my feet the moment he whispered those words into my ear. I cringed and gripped the edges of the counter, my toe curling. “Hmm?” He whispered, jerking his head forward with his fingers pressed against my cheeks. My belly clenched so hard that I feared death was knocking on my door. It felt like air had suddenly deserted the kitchen just like it did with the living room. I parted my lips, panting for air but caught none. The place was suffocating, and my body trembled in desperation for some air and the crushing feeling of his presence. “I… I didn't want to say anything to you,” I stammered when I found my voice. From the corner of my eye, I watched his lips twitch up in a sinister smirk while his eyes narrowed over my body with such a gaze that made my core tighten. He kept gazing at me with his hands trapping my waist. He didn't say another word but his eyes were enough to tell a thousand tales. Tales that I avoided listening to for my own safety. I was slowly relaxing into his arms, feeling safe in them, falling deeper into the ocean of blue eyes and fire exuding from his body. I closed my eyes and clutched the edge of the counter tighter, while listening to the matching throb of our heartbeat and our raspy breath that clashed together. I could feel his wet lips grazing my neck and his hands squeezing the sides of my waist softly, but I didn't move, even though there was a third world war going on in my body. He breathed in sharply and I tilted my head to the side, biting my lips to stop the moan that threatened to slide out of my mouth. “You smell like peony and blackberry," he whispered into my ear, brushing my hair back and grazing my neck with his nails. "The perfume I use has peony and blackberry notes,” I responded in a quivering voice that was barely above a whisper. “Hmm," he hummed and drew his face towards my shoulder. "I love blackberries,” he muttered and my belly churned. Was this a sign to make it my favorite and permanent scent? I bit my lips harder when his hand began to crawl up to my belly. My legs were trembling, and my heart was racing in anxiety about what he wanted to do next. Maybe squeeze my boobs? Kiss me? Or maybe… maybe play with my c**t– “Kaylee? What is taking you so long?" My mom's voice hit me, jerking me back to reality. My eyes flew open, and horror replaced the ecstasy that was bubbling in me. Panic tore through me as her footsteps neared the door. “Stop!" I gasped and gripped his hand, pushing him off. He staggered back, his head tilting to the side with an evil smirk laced against his face. I glared at him, panting for air and pressing my knees together to stop the dripping from my p***y. “You finally remembered to push me off,” he muttered and my legs weakened. He glanced at the door then rolled up his sleeves before walking out silently. I narrowed my eyes at him and spun around. He slipped away a few seconds before my mom entered the kitchen. I wondered how she didn't see him. “What's taking you so long, huh?" She snapped and snatched the bowl of dessert from me. She pulled the lid open to be sure it was still in good condition then glared at me. My head dropped and I faked a remorseful expression. "I'm sorry, Mom,” I mumbled. She scoffed loudly. “Sorry? Your father had been–" I jerked my head up and her lips slammed shut. She narrowed her eyes and turned around, marching out without another word. I dropped to the ground and brushed my hair back, my chest tightening. "What have I done, what the hell have I done?” I whispered. Scenes of the moment that shouldn't have existed flashed in my mind, and every time they appeared, I would feel chills run down my spine. This was wrong! This was f*****g wrong! I cursed loudly and swung my head back, trying to endure the pain of the guilt biting into my heart since it wouldn't go away. I wondered if I'll be able to face him ever again. I wondered how I would be able to face my mom and their father. This was crazy! “Kaylee, what the hell are you still doing in there? Don't tell me you're watching those f*****g cat edits in there!" My mom screamed. "More like those BTS edits!” Her husband added and I narrowed my eyes. ‘Try minding your business, Davidson!’ I wanted to shout back at him but refrained. I knew he wouldn't hesitate to throw me out of the house if I disrespected him one day. He had been desperately searching for a moment to accomplish that desire. “Nasty old thing," I whispered under my breath and dragged myself up. My heart raced as I hesitantly walked into the dining room. All eyes shifted in my direction and I wished the ground would open up and swallow me. I kept my head and eyes down and shuffled to my seat. I could still feel the eyes of everyone on me even as my trembling hands reached for the fork beside the plate of pasta before me. "So, you like BTS?” My hand froze when one of them spoke. Like I was under a spell, I raised my head. My heart jumped when my eyes locked with those grey eyes of Jaden. “What?" I stammered. I turned my head towards my mom and my heart dropped again when I realized she had been staring at me. I took in a sharp breath and looked down at my plate. The pasta tasted more like solid water now. The paprika and rosemary flavors seemed to have vanished into thin air. Even the aroma that had dealt with me earlier had all drifted out through the open window. I could feel two feet leaning against my legs and I knew it didn't belong to one person. I looked up at Jaden and caught him smiling mischievously. My eyes darted towards Jordan, and he had that look on his face too, but he had more lust in his eyes than Jaden did. It felt like they were collectively trying to make me miserable with their stay here. I couldn't do this any longer. I pushed my chair back and got up, grabbing a napkin. My mom looked at me, her brows raised in question and surprise. “What's wrong?" My mom asked. "I have to get my homework done,” I stammered, flushed. Her head swung to the side in confusion. “Finish your food first," she waved her hand towards the barely touched pasta. "No, I'm…” The words stuck in my throat when my eyes darted towards them. They all had their eyes on me, that smirk still tugged on the lips of the two of them while Casper stared with a raised brow of confusion. I turned back to my mom, my heart racing. “I'm not hungry!" I blurted out and didn't wait for her argument before dashing for the stairs. I could feel their eyes on me as I ascended the stairs and it was burning me up. “What's wrong with her?" I heard Casper ask. “As if you don't know," I whispered and entered my room, slamming my door shut. I dropped into the bed and cried into it, praying, hoping, and wishing that they would leave tomorrow. I would trade anything to have them leave this house. I didn't do any homework, as I said. Instead, I sat at the edge of the bed, flapping my legs and staring into the night sky. I will go crazy if I open any more books in this house. Books, bullies, and those Rovers brothers were like my nightmare. I was always at the top of my class and the brightest. I knew the answer to every question, the solution to every task given. People loved me and hated me for that. I was a nerd. A book nerd. That was what I was called in school. My mom loved the praise she got in the parent association, so she wanted me to keep that position, or better, go higher. I was buried in my books all night and day and I felt like I was going crazy. Everything was always wrong, including my feelings. I didn't want to believe it but I knew this feeling I had whenever my stepbrothers were around wasn't… normal I wasn't normal. I never believed it until now. I mean… who would want their stepbrothers to touch them, to love them. It was an abnormal feeling and thinking. People always told me that I was abnormal. My cold behavior, my weird preferences. They were right. They were f*****g right! A sharp knock jolted me out of my thoughts and I sw ung my head towards the door, my eyes dimming in suspicion. “Who is there?" I asked, getting up from the bed and striding towards the door. I knew damn well it was Mom, and God knows I wasn't ready for her tantrums tonight. "It's Casper.” My feet froze and my heart stilled in horror when I got hit with an answer.
