Chapter 1. Establishing the framework

991 Words
"Help!" The pack members in the vicinity were drawn to the woman's cry. When they saw two figures plummeting from the steep cliff, they became very afraid. They identified the two figures as Cindy, the former Alpha's mate, and Char-lotte, the Alpha's mate for the present. They both dove into the water below the bluff. Chelsy felt the chilly seawater covering her body, and she swallowed too much of it and almost drowned. Fortunately, packmates started to come to their aid.D Of course, Altmann, on patrol surrounding the neighbourhood, heard the cries as well. He hurried over to the scene and saw Cindy covered in blood. And "Chelsy. Even though I am aware that you are envious of my relationship with Altmann, nothing at all is happening between us. How come you pushed me off the edge?" Before she passed out, Cindy's feeble voice could be heard. 1. Altmann was enraged after hearing Cindy's remarks, and he glared at Chelsy. Altmann took care of Chelsy despite the fact that she was injured in the fall, with a big gash on her arms from the sea's rocks and a blow to her forehead from a large rock. N "b***h, that pretentlons!" Get the truth out to them, Chelsy," hissed Lexi, Chelsy's wolf. "Altmann, I can explain.." Chelsy struggled to speak those words despite her body hurting all over. Altmann gave a smirk. "Explain? Everyone heard Cindy's statements and witnessed what had transpired. "But she pushed-" Chelsy made a desperate attempt to clarify what actually transpired. "Enough already! Should there be an issue with her and her child, I will personally discipline you." Her words were abruptly cut short by Altmann, who grabbed Cindy in his arms and hurried over to the pack's medical facility. Chelsy knew at the moment that telling the truth would not help. Not even her partner would accept her story. She felt as though several daggers were stabbing her heart, but there was nothing she could do to stop it. Altmann's younger sister Mil-la and Cindy had already framed her once before. And just like today, he never inquired about what had transpired; instead, he would listen to their version of events and hold her accountable for everything. Despite understanding how much Cindy and Milla meant to Altmann, stie always did her best to make them happy over their three years of dating and marriage to him, yet they continued to treat her like an Omega. An Even bad at times. Chelsy understood why she had to serve them all. They believed that she was merely an orphan she-wolf and not worthy of Altmann, the vicious Alpha of the Red Claw Pack, the third-largest pack. Because of her past, they believed she didn't deserve to be the Luna of the pack. Slar deliberately severed links with Ter family in order to be Hayder's mate and make sure Altmann wouldn't find out who she really was. All she wanted was to mate with him and be a good Luna. Would it really make a difference, she wondered to herself sometimes, if they knew her true history? She did not want them to know, though. Her desire was for Altmann to adore her for who she was, not for her status as the dominant alpha. As a result, she had put up with all of Cindy and Milla's taunts, humiliations, and abuse—yet she continued to be a kind sister-in-law to them. She kept it a secret from Altmann because they were his family and she always showed them her humility. After his brother passed away and left Cindy a widow and mother of his unborn child, Altmann assumed leadership of the Red Claw Pack. When Chelsy first saw him, she was ecstatic and felt he was her soulmate. However, who would have guessed that Altmann's late brother's widow, Cindy, was more significant than Chelsy? Altmann had not shown much affection for Chelsy since he had wedded her and claimed her as his mate. He chose to spend more time with Cindy instead. Cindy was under him much greater protection. There were whispers that Altmann was in love with Cindy because of the way he treated her, which was evident to everyone.N Chelsy's body was drenchéd, her arm and forehead bleeding, and her mind was a complete wreck. She had to work extremely hard just to get to her feet. Fortunately, Chelsy had Noah, the Pack's beta, to help her. He encouraged her to visit the hospital to get her wounds attended to. Chelsy replied, "Thank you, Noah," as they made their way carefully to the hospital. Chelsy couldn't help but wonder if Altmann would have believed her instead of Cindy if she had revealed her true identity? Should she be honest with him? Lexi hissed at her, reminding her that she needed to tell him the truth. Her wolf detested Altmann and Cindy as well. Would he, though, accept her? Altmann stated that numerous witnesses were present.N She grabbed Cindy's hand and pulled her along as she sprang back off the edge. However, observers saw it as Cindy had described. Sadly, when Sophia grabbed for Chelsy's hand, she was yanked along and they both fell into the sea. Chelsy's hand was on Cindy's chest, and Cindy had no doubt that it appeared as though she was pushing Sophia. Chelsy had to concede that Cindy was the ultimate con artist. Given the blood dripping from Sophia's lower abdomen, Chelsy realised there was a very real possibility that she would miscarry, which would be detrimental to her health. Altmann's stern words, "I'm going to punish you personally," replayed in Chelsy's thoughts. "You should still make an effort to clarify," snarled Lexi. "I wanted to explain but he didn't want to listen to me," I informed her. "Try explaining again," she snarled. Chelsy was aware that Cindy's actions had infuriated Lexi. Though she had little doubt, Chelsy hoped her spouse would accept her story.
