❤️✨ MERRY CHRISTMAS ✨❤️
***
I can't shake the discomfort no matter how hard I try. Every time I look at Christian I remember he saw something no one should ever see: Kingsley, in a position like that.
That's for my eyes only, or Kingsley's now that he stuck his nose where he shouldn't, I guess. But definitely not for Christian or any other wolf.
I decide to take my own car tonight because I don't want to risk being in a small place with Christian and I drive to everyone's favorite bar, where everyone is already waiting for me at a table.
Miranda smiles and waves me over to her. She's in the other corner to Christian so I definitely walk over to her and try to smile at the rest of the people here.
"You smell good today, Law," Miranda says giving me a hug as a greeting and burying her cold nose in my neck. I want to move or push her away, but I just smile and mumble, 'thank you,' sitting down to order food and act like I'm not fighting my wolf, who wants to go out and kill Christian, "Are you okay? You're... uh, giving off more pheromones than normal."
"Really?" I ask and turn to look at the people at the table, they are all visibly uncomfortable and don't raise their eyes to look at me, the only one who does is Christian. I meet his eyes and hold them for a couple of seconds.
I want to break his stupid face, I want to show him that even though I'm a child with no ambition, I could destroy him in a second. I'm a hell of a lot stronger than him even if I don't make a single effort and we both know it.
But I would get into so much trouble that I don't even want to think about it.
"I’m not trying to emit pheromones, guys, I'm so sorry. My wolf is close to his rut," I lie, just because it seems like an understandable excuse. The people at the table nod, relax a little and try to fight their instincts to submit to me, starting to talk about ruts and heats and what they do to get through them, as if it's the most normal thing in the world.
"The best heat of my life was when I spent it at Owl's," says a new omega I don't know, with a mischievous look when she finds my eyes. Owl's is the name of the sëx club we go to. That makes me raise my eyebrows with interest, "I was only there for a day, my dom took care of me... but also let me have fun with a few alphas."
"You're so bad," Miranda giggles next to me, tangling her hands in one of my arms, then when the conversation continues with someone else, she pulls me until she can stick her mouth in my ear, "You can spend your rut with me. You know that, right?"
My wolf feels a viseral negative reaction to her offer, but I don't want to be rude to her so I smile and nod. I know that's not going to happen, though. No way. Even if I wanted it, he would never agree.
When I tear my eyes away from her, I meet Christian's deep gaze still focused on me. He gives me a slight smile that I have to respond to, but then just keeps watching me until once again I'm feeling upset.
Plus, just thinking about how angry Kingsley would be if he finds out anyone else saw a drawing of his, is making me sweat despite the cold. I need to get out of here before something else happens.
I stand up abruptly, getting everyone's attention.
"I have to go, I'm sorry. I'm in no condition to socialize right now," I mumble and thanks to my prior excuse, people nod and understand, "See you later."
I walk out of there without looking at Christian again and I get into my car to drive straight to my apartment. I walk over to the drawing to look at it with fresh eyes and curse loudly, tearing the sheet into two pieces. My boy's body is perfectly detailed, his beautiful face is perfectly detailed. I want to grab Christian's head and rip it off his neck.
My wolf is upset and is making my situation worse, he feels guilty and homicidal at the same time. But most of all, he wants to see Kingsley. Or at least talk to him.
I try to remind him that's impossible but he growls at me to find a damn way to make it happen.
I think for a good while until I come up with something and call someone who is always willing to help.
"Laurie? I was asleep," Phi complains with a groan, as if it's not just eleven at night, "What's wrong?"
"I need a favor, Phoenix. A big one," I blurt out and my cousin stays silent for a few seconds, perhaps realizing that my voice sounds deeper than usual, "Are you there?"
"Are you seriously calling me? To ask me for a favor? Me? The twins told you to fück off?”
"No, you're my first and only choice," I mutter and my cousin gasps as if he can't believe it, "Dude! Why are you acting like I never call you or something? We talk all the time. I'm always with you."
"No, you're always just with them. Just the three of you, all the time, you never let me hang out with you," he complains and I can only roll my eyes. I'm tired of telling him he's only fücking fourteen, "But what do you need?"
"Do you know where Kingsley Seong lives?" I ask and Phi is thinking, "Right down the street from me, it's the house on the corner. The garden is full of plants everywhere and there are two red cars outside... you'll know it when you see it. Well, I need you to go over there, go into the backyard and climb the tree. It's pretty big, so it's easy. You need to recognize the first window on the right side. Surely the light will be on at this hour, his curtains are white. That's King's window. You have to jump to his little balcony from the tree and knock on the window. He will look out. He knows who you are so he won't freak out, he'll just open the window for you. When that happens, I need you to tell him to unblock me... please."
"What?" he spits, after being silent for almost five seconds, "H-how will I do that?"
"Let your wolf take you, you'll get there faster."
"But... Laurie, my mother is going to kill me if she finds out I went out at this hour. The whole clan knows who I am, if anyone sees me..."
"Just be careful and run fast. Nothing's going to happen, Phi, your parents are probably fücking, they're not going to notice," I let out with a growl and my little cousin gasps in disgust, "Phi, please. You're the only person who can do this for me, I know you'll keep this a secret, I know you won't ask stupid questions. Just... please. I'll owe you something. What do you want? I'll buy it for you."
"I don't want anything, I got everything I wanted on my birthday," he mumbles, "Although... I want you guys to stop treating me like I'm part of the little ones. I know I am, but I'd rather hang out with you three. The girls cast me aside, too."
"Okay, big man, you can be part of our pack," I reply, shaking my head, "Can you do what I asked?"
"Okay," he sighs, "I will. But... you're doing all this just to keep bullying that boy? I don't want to be part of your bullying, my dad would kill me. He's always complaining about you picking on that boy."
"It's not for that, Phi. He owes me money, I just want to collect it from him," I lie and I don't know if it's believable, but my cousin agrees and says he'll call me when he's there.
I know it would be much more convenient to ask my sister for this favor, but that little bïtch would try to bribe me for years for that small favor. Hanna and Francia would simply say no and I wouldn't even ask them to go out in the middle of the night to do this nonsense anyway. And the twins are simply not an option, if one knows, the other knows and I don't need both of them bugging me about this forever. So Phi will have to do.
Phi's house is only about ten minutes from my house by car, twenty walking and about seven if he let his wolf out, so I can only wait. Wait and wait.
My wolf is incredibly anxious, he feels like he needs to talk to King or he's going to die.
"It's done. And you owe me many more favors, by the way." Says a text from Phoenix. I don't know what he's referring to but I smile and look for King's number to call him. Surprisingly, the call goes through.
"What the fück do you want?" Kingsley spits out immediately. My wolf pushes me aside and takes complete control of me, "Why did you send your cousin to give me the worst scare of my life?"
"I'm sorry if I scared you," I start, feeling better just hearing his voice, even if it still has that nasty tone it takes on every time he communicates with Laurent, "It's been a long time, love, I need to hear your voice. I need to know you're okay."
"Oh, Alpha... hey," he blurts out, his voice drastically getting softer, "Hi, I'm fine."
"Why do you still have my number blocked?" I demand to know. That's been bugging me, "It's been a long time."
"You're asking why? Uh, maybe because Laurent is a disgusting psycho pervert who can't even take responsibility for his actions to apologize to me?" He spits, breathlessly, "I don't want to talk to him, ever. I'm sorry, but you know that."
"Okay, I get it," I mumble, at least happy that he doesn't think that of me... even though we're the same person, but I'll take what I can get with King, "Have you missed me?"
King falls silent.
"Baby?"
"Yes," he reluctantly admits and lets out a sigh, "I miss you a lot. My wolf especially, he..."
"Can I talk to him? Can you let him out for me?” I ask, illusion growing in my stomach. I miss my Omega more than anything in this world.
"No, Alpha, you know I can't do that yet," he says and I know that, but we've never been normal.
"You let him out that day on the showers, didn't you?" I remind him, my c**k rising up just remembering it.
"Yeah, but I don't know how that happened," he answers and I know he's telling the truth, "He... he just wants me to tell you he loves you, okay? It's only a month and a half until his presentation. He wants you to be here that very day."
"I'll try, my love, I promise. I don't know if I can, but I'll try," I say with a smile. I knew talking to him was going to make me feel better, "Can you remind me that you’re only mine? I need to hear it. I saw you at a party with that alpha, David."
"I'm only yours," he admits in a tiny whisper that I might not be able to hear if I wasn't giving him my full attention. My chest puffs out with pride, "That was David's party, he invited me. We're on good terms now, but only that... the question here is: are you still mine? How many omegas has Laurent fücked at this point? 10? 15?"
He wishes.
"None."
"Yeah, right. Don't fücking lie to me," he snaps, "How many times has he put you to sleep?"
"I'm telling you the truth. He hasn't fücked anyone. I certainly haven't. You'll be my first and my last. He hasn't put me to sleep again," I tell him and Kingsley seems to calm down a bit, finally. My little firecracker, he's such a lovely creature. I need him in my arms, "I love you so much, baby. Do you love me?"
"No."
"Stop this game, Kingsley. I don't like it if we're away from each other," I growl in my overly rude tone, but unable to calm my voice, "He's not here at all."
"I'm sorry. I do love you, Alpha," he admits in another whisper, "I've been so lonely without you. Before you left things were very tense with me and Laurent, but I even miss fighting with that jerk butt-face because at least after fighting with him you would come see me and be sweet to me. I need you."
"We'll be together in no time. For real now. Forever. You know what's going to happen as soon as I look into your eyes when you're finally mature, right? We'll have confirmation. We'll be together, we'll have a wedding to placate our families and then I'll finally be able to mark your beautiful neck and fill you with my pups."
"I know," he whispers, "Laurent still doesn't know, how is that possible?"
"He's a jerk butt-face," I mutter, making my sweet baby laugh, "Unblock me for good, okay? I want to know what's going on with you."
"Fine. But don't let him try to contact me. I just want to talk to you."
{ Kingsley }
I had the worst scare of my entire life ten minutes ago when I was peacefully resting on my bed and suddenly my window was almost broken by a random dude who started banging on it as if he wanted to break in and rob me. I was about to call the police when I happened to peek out and realized it was just a kid. And not a random kid, but a Taffy kid. Well, Easton. The Alpha's son.
"What the hell are you doing here? And why are you bleeding?" I ask as I open my window for him. He's a tall, goofy kid, obviously related to Laurent.
"I fell the first time I tried to jump onto your balcony," he mumbles looking down in shame, I can laugh and walk to my bathroom to find something to clean him with, "Sorry. Laurie sent me with a message: unblock me, please. He wants to collect the money you owe him."
I return to his side with a snort.
Right. If anyone owes anyone monetary compensation, it's him to me.
"Put your big head down," I order him and the boy does so. I lift his curly hair away from his forehead and clean his wound. It's big and a lot of blood is coming out of it, "Being dumb runs in your family, you know that? Keep pressure on the wound and it will heal by the morning."
"Thanks," he mumbles, looking down in embarrassment still. Phoenix Easton is a cute kid, when he stops being so awkward I know he'll be the new star of the school, "Will you unblock Laurie? Do you have money to pay him?"
"Yes, I have everything he could possibly need," I reply, rolling my eyes, "Now beat it and get back to your house before they start a search for you."
The boy leaves and I can only laugh. He really scared the hell out of me, but it was worth it in the end, because I got to talk to my wolf for a while after going through the worst months of my life.
Turns out I'd rather have Laurent around than away. It really sucks to be... alone. It really sucks not having an alpha, I don't know how normal people do it. I haven't been 'single' since I was five, I seriously need my alpha around me all the time, I'm too used to it.
And that conversation I just had with him just reminded me how much I love him.
So, I make a plan.
"Hey there, guys," I say when I see Alex and Rio Taffy walking home after school. They stop walking and turn to look at me at the same time. They're not exactly identical, but they're both blondish, tall and gorgeous. Not as handsome as my alpha, but definitely worth how much the girls drool over them.
"Hey, King," Rio says, while Alex is still just surprised to see me here, "What's up?"
"Nothing much, just…," I breathe in, "I'm going to Tallahide, wanna go with me?"
"What?" Alex spits, "Why? You know Laurie is in there, right?"
"Yeah. I want to personally punch him in the face, can you help me make that happen?" I ask, and I don't know if they seriously have no idea what's going on between us. Knowing Laurent, they just think we hate each other and nothing else, which is true... but not completely.
"How are you going?"
"My friend Lisa has a car. This friday my mom is traveling to our old clan on her own. My alpha mother is chill so she's going to let me have a 'sleep over' with Lisa, but we're actually driving to Tallahide," I begin to describe my plan, "Apparently, clubs are really cool over there and they let omega looking people in, even if they don't have IDs. And also, I want to punch Laurent in the face, so... wanna go? Or are you going to let two omegas go on their own?"
"I-" Rio looks to his brother, they don't know what to say, but they just have to say yes. I won't accept anything else, they are crucial for my plan.
"Tell your parents you'll be sleeping over with another friend. We can leave friday night, spend the whole night there and then come back saturday morning. It's just a two hour drive. Come on."
"You don't know our dad, he's not chill at all. He's not..."
"But Oliver is, isn't he? And he's your uncle. Tell your dad you're going to sleep over with Uncle Oliver, then tell Uncle Oliver you're having a sleepover with another friend and that's it. We can be back on Saturday about eleven in the morning."
"Can we think about it?" Alex asks.
"No. Just say yes. Don't you wanna have fun with your stupid cousin?" I ask but then I keep talking, "Be at Lisa’s house this Friday night at eight. I'll be waiting for you there. Don't fail me or there will be consequences."
They want to say something more but I don't give them the chance. I turn around and walk away with a smile.
