A Clash of Empires
Morning sunlight streamed through the glass walls of Larson Automotive, illuminating the sleek designs of luxury vehicles displayed in the company's grand showroom.
At exactly 8:00 a.m., Kyle Larson walked into the conference room.
Every executive stood immediately.
"Good morning, Mr. Larson."
Kyle acknowledged them with a slight nod before taking his seat.
"The International Automobile Summit begins at noon," his secretary announced. "Representatives from the world's leading automobile companies will be there."
A slide appeared on the large screen.
Emerald Motors.
Kyle's eyes lingered on the name for a brief moment.
"The company's CEO, Miss Jade Jordan, has become one of our biggest competitors in the luxury electric vehicle market," another executive explained.
"She's bold, unpredictable, and never backs down from a challenge."
Kyle closed the file.
"Business is business."
The room fell silent.
"Prepare the contracts. We're not attending to make friends."
"Yes, sir."
Outside the conference room, Verona Desmond smiled to herself.
"Stubborn as ever," she murmured.

Meanwhile...
At the magnificent headquarters of Emerald Motors, excitement filled every department.
Designers, engineers, and executives rushed to finalize presentations before the summit.
Inside her office, Jade Jordan reviewed several proposals while Diana Ross sat across from her, enjoying a cup of coffee.
"You know," Diana began, "people say Kyle Larson is ridiculously handsome."
Jade didn't even look up.
"They also say sharks are beautiful."
Diana laughed.
"So that's a no?"
"I don't admire men I've never met."
"What if he's nice?"
Jade finally raised an eyebrow.
"A CEO with a reputation colder than winter? Nice?"
"I doubt it."
Her smile faded when her phone rang.
The caller ID displayed:
City General Hospital.
Jade answered immediately.
"Hello?"
"Miss Jordan, your mother's condition is stable. There are no changes."
"I'll visit tonight."
"We'll be waiting."
She ended the call quietly.
Diana reached across the desk and squeezed her hand.
"Aunt Jenny will wake up one day."
Jade forced a small smile.
"She has to."

By noon...
The International Automobile Summit was filled with influential entrepreneurs, investors, reporters, and automobile manufacturers from around the world.
Luxury cars gleamed beneath dazzling lights as cameras flashed nonstop.
A black Rolls-Royce arrived.
Kyle Larson stepped out.
His commanding presence instantly silenced the crowd.
Minutes later...
A deep emerald-green Bentley stopped at the entrance.
Jade Jordan emerged gracefully, dressed in an elegant emerald suit that perfectly matched her company's name.
Reporters surrounded her.
"Miss Jordan!"
"What are your expectations today?"
She smiled politely.
"I came to discuss innovation—not headlines."
Inside the grand hall...
Kyle and Jade walked from opposite ends toward the exhibition area.
Neither noticed the other.
Not yet.
As fate would have it, both reached for the same prototype steering system displayed on a pedestal.
Their hands brushed.
Jade quickly withdrew hers.
"I saw it first."
Kyle met her gaze.
"Then why didn't you take it?"
She folded her arms.
"Because someone decided to interrupt."
His expression remained calm.
"I don't interrupt. I observe."
Diana leaned closer to Jade and whispered, "That's Kyle Larson."
Verona stood beside Kyle and quietly said, "That's Jade Jordan."
For several long seconds...
Neither of them looked away.
There was no smile.
No greeting.
Only an unspoken challenge.
Then Jade turned on her heel.
"Let's go, Diana."
Kyle watched her leave before speaking softly.
"Arrogant."
Jade, without turning back, muttered under her breath,
"Cold-hearted."
Neither realized that this brief encounter was only the beginning.
Their rivalry had officially begun...
And destiny had only just started weaving the thread that would pull them back to each other.
