The following morning...
The atmosphere at Larson Automotive was unusually tense.
Kyle Larson sat at the head of the conference table, listening as his executives discussed the next phase of the Green Future Initiative.
"The prototype is almost complete, Mr. Larson," the chief engineer reported.
"But there is one problem."
Kyle looked up.
"What is it?"
"The final road test requires both CEOs to be present. It is part of the government's agreement."
Kyle frowned.
"So, I have no choice."
"I'm afraid not, sir."

Jade received the same news.
She leaned back in her chair and sighed.
"You've got to be kidding me."
Diana couldn't help but laugh.
"I guess fate likes the two of you."
"Fate has a terrible sense of humor."

The test track was filled with journalists, government officials, and engineers.
A sleek silver prototype stood in the center, covered with a black cloth.
The Minister stepped forward.
"Today marks a historic moment. This vehicle represents the combined efforts of Larson Automotive and Emerald Motors."
Applause echoed through the venue.
Kyle and Jade stood on opposite sides of the stage.
Neither looked particularly pleased.
"The CEOs will now conduct the first official test drive together."
Jade's eyes widened.
"Together?"
The Minister smiled.
"Yes."
Kyle let out a quiet sigh.
"This day keeps getting better."
Jade shot him a glare.
"I was thinking the exact opposite."
The audience laughed.

Kyle sat behind the steering wheel while Jade occupied the passenger seat.
An uncomfortable silence filled the car.
Kyle started the engine.
The prototype glided smoothly onto the test track.
For several minutes, neither of them spoke.
Finally...
"The suspension feels stable," Jade admitted.
Kyle nodded.
"Your battery system performed well."
She glanced at him.
"Was that... a compliment?"
"It was an observation."
Jade smiled.
"You're incapable of giving compliments, aren't you?"
"I've never had a reason to."
She chuckled softly.
"You really are impossible."
"And yet, you're still talking to me."
For the first time...
Their conversation felt natural.
No arguments.
No sarcasm.
Just two brilliant minds discussing the car they had built together.

After the successful test drive, reporters surrounded them.
"Mr. Larson!"
"Miss Jordan!"
"How does it feel working together?"
Kyle answered calmly.
"It has been... productive."
Jade looked at him in surprise.
Then she smiled.
"I agree."

Jade walked toward the parking lot with Diana.
Suddenly, she noticed a little girl crying beside a bench.

The little girl's face lit up.
"Thank you, big sister!"
She hugged Jade tightly before running back to her mother.
Kyle had witnessed the entire scene from a distance.
For a brief moment...
A forgotten memory flashed through his mind.
A rainy afternoon.
A little girl.
A simple bracelet.
A warm smile.
His head began to ache.
He pressed a hand against his temple.
"Sir?" Verona asked with concern.
"I'm fine."
But he wasn't.
For the first time in years...
His memories were beginning to surface.
And somewhere deep inside...
He felt that the girl he had been searching for...
