TILLY The drug-induced sleep faded away in stages. First, my mind drifted around in a strange but blissful limbo between dreams and wakefulness. I was wrapped in what felt like a heavy, fuzzy blanket that smelt of crisp pine needles and the sea air. I kept my eyes closed for a moment, not wanting to let go of this feeling of safety and warmth. I could lay here forever, wrapped up in this blanket and listening to the sound of waves crashing into rocks. Muffled voices and the aroma of freshly brewed hazelnut coffee tugged at my drowsy senses. Then, the feeling of warmth and safety dissipated when reality consumed me again. I was on an island in the middle of the ocean with the closest state being Alaska. Taken captive by a man who was absolutely sick in the head to think kidnapping
