43. CHAPTER FORTY

It took me a moment to realize that the explosions weren’t coming from just outside the window of my dormitory. Rather, they sounded like they were a bit farther away, although still well within the Academy campus. “Huh?” I said, rubbing my eyes. “What the—? Where are all of those explosions coming—” The curtains of my bed were pulled away, causing light to spill into my bed.
