I watched the color drain from his face as soon as we made eye contact.
“Mate” He mumbled. It was so hard to keep myself from laughing at him. By smelling him, I knew he didn’t have a wolf, so he was probably trying to fool me. Should I play along?
“No! Don’t waste time.” I hear Amber shout back at me as she tries to fight for control.
