I saw him flinched. There was a shadow of pain that passed through his eyes but then it was gone in a snap which made me think that maybe, I saw it wrong.
His jaw clenched, then finally, he sat up properly, giving me back my personal space.
I exhaled as my hand trembles.
I almost smile sadly when I realized that I will always be Kirsten’s substitute, and that hurts.
But what hurts more, is that he is confusing me and giving me hope..
