Talia was woken from her nightmare by the gently touch of Tanner’s fingers on her shoulder just as her dream had gone black. She felt the tears streaming down her face and her heart in her throat. Tanner’s eyes held concern in them and she looked away knowing it was for her and not the man in the video. The man, he was with Laurent, but what did he have to do with all of this? Why did that message get sent to Tanner in the first place? Her mind shifted gears and thankfully gave her some relief from the terror that had held her heart a moment ago; she had known that she had been muttering no over and over again before Tanner had woken her. It was inevitable, but she didn’t want to talk about it right now, not yet but someday she would tell him everything.
