Layla calmed down after the thugs ran seeing the guy
Layla turned to see the guy but couldn't see his face

The guy entered his bugatti diving off
She finally arrive at her work
She greeted some familiar customer who was seated eating whatever they ordered
She walk pass her boss office seeing her counting some dollars happily
"Good afternoon ma'am" she greeted entering Mrs Willow office
Mrs Willow smiled nodding at Layla's greetings
Layla moved close to the string taking an apron which was spread around it
She wore it walking out of the office to the kitchen
"One plate of small chops" Kate say entering the kitchen
Layla opened the covered iron pot full of chops
Serving them to Kate who arranged it carefully on a tray
"Why didn't you go to school today?" Layla ask kate who flinch at the question before answering
"How did you know I didn't..? Kate ask
"Of course you were always late to come to work " layla answered opening the faucets washing some dirty dish plates
"Well.. my step mom" kate stutter bowing
"You told me your dad sent your step mum your school fee and allowance. I don't see the happiness and excitement in you " layla stated
"She cheated and used the money for her business" kate say sniffing
"What! How could mrs Willow behave like that, she shouldn't have cheated on you " layla said raiding her brows
Kate walk away with the tray in her hand trying to stop the tears from streaming down her chin
' mrs Willow shouldn't have treated her step daughter in such a way ' layla thought looking pitiful at kate
The day's work end and layla got home tiredly sitting on the sofa
"Whatsup for today's work" isla ask taking the remote control and changing the TV channel
"Good.... I'm just worried about kate. The way her step mother is treating her is making me feel pain for her " layla said
