I stopped a few feet down the hall to wait for the doctor to catch up. While I was Irritated that Kai wouldn’t leave me alone. I was also grateful he had been taking care of me. If he hadn’t been there to save me from that creature, I’d probably be dead. The doctor caught up with me and showed me to a small office with a nice wooden desk that had two cozy chairs in front of it. He stepped behind the desk, sitting in his own executive style chair, motioning for me to sit as well. His horn rimmed glasses and graying hair gave him a respectable look.
