32 THEY FOUND MIRAN shrouded in grey, cloud-filled, misty dusk. Snow drifted from the sky, whipped up by the ever-present wind. The snow sweepers had kept the airport fairly clean, except for the thin trails that had blown over the paving since the passing of the sweeping machine.
