Chapter 10

Since, the most awaited moment that Kurt waited for. After, he propose with Nadia and asked her to marry him. He most often visited to the hospital, bringing a bouquet of flower and bunch of chocolate and give it to her. They often, kiss each other when times they meet. Today, is final process of Kylie’s case. Everyone are to attend to hear the conclusion of the session. Luke walk with her through the session hall. Inside, Kurt stared at them badly and got jealous. Fortunately, Luke didn’t see him who is the corner since they walk to another corner.

The Judge bang the gavel, and requested the secretary to elaborate the result by hand gestures. “The case is already solve. Thanks to the prosecutor by explaining their both side and testimonies. The case is consider as murdered. And Kylie Gaston, is prove as a suspect to the crime.” Everyone surprised. Nadia and Luke lost their appetite when they heard that Kylie is really the suspect. “The suspect will be imprison within three years according to the deal between the victim and Prosecutor Kurt.” Kylie cried. On her face show that she is scared.

“What are we going to do?” Luke asked unsettled.

“Just let the court decide on it. Since they prove that Kylie is really the criminal. Promise, they will not hurt her inside. Just trust me.”

Everyone are settle down and leaving the court. Kylie was bring by the three cops, cuffing her hands going to the jail. She cried looking to them, she beg for help through her look.

Luke and Nadia went together in the parking lot to go back into their office. While Luke tried to open the door in the car to get in. Kurt run after him, he punch it too hard on Luke face. And it made him rolled in the ground. Nadia run after them to separate. “Stop it.” She shouted while she separated them both. She choose to hold Kurt, while hugging him tightly to stop attacking Luke.

Luke was hit on his face and it made to bleed. “What happened to you? Did I hurt you?” Luke gets mad and want to punch Kurt back since he was not able to punch him.

“You’re flirting my girlfriend. You are passing already on your limit.” He shouted.

“What?” he laughed. “Your girlfriend? Are you joking? Nadia, is this true?”

Nadia didn’t answer, she just hold Kurt.

“Did you reject me already? How about—

“Stop it, Luke. Please stop discussing it. You just make it worse.” Nadia shouted.

Luke fold his head to harsh. Punch the bricks and went inside in his car and drive so fast. Nadia worried about him, maybe Luke will tend to hurt himself. “Why you attack him? He’s not flirting me. You already know that he is my friend. And no reason to get jealous.”

“Sorry, I didn’t know either. It’s just because I get jealous and I can’t control it. Pardon.” He hugged Nadia sweetly.

“Just trust me, and everything will be fine. Because I trust you as well. Trust is the key to make the relationship strong. Soon to be we will get married. And I’m excited with that. But this time let’s focus first our own journey because it’s for our sake.” She smiled and hugged Kurt.

“Where are we going?”

“Let’s have fun or dinner outside. Since its already seven in the evening.”

“Sure, it’s been a long time we don’t have our dinner except last time in your house.”

Luke spend his time in the bar drank himself to forget all the problem he had and cure the wound that Nadia made. He almost finish ten bottles and was not able to recognize everyone. A woman’s voice from behind on him. And it’s familiar. But Luke didn’t recognize her. It’s Carrie.

“Hey, Luke. What happening to you? Did you experience the same with me?” Carrie, caress her face.

“Who are you?” he utterly.

“It’s me, Carrie. It’s unexpected to see you, especially in this place. Nice to meet you. This night, let’s celebrate our time together since we are all brokenhearted. Let’s drank ourselves until we can do what we want.”

“What do you mean?”

“I have my plan, hope you will go with me. it’s for own sake, actually.”

“What is that?”

“Nadia and Kurt is soon to get married right? So, let’s stop them. Let’s combine together so we can do it easily.”

“Carrie? If that is what you want. I don’t want it. Nadia is my friend. And I will never fail and ruined our friendship. I accept what we are right now. Friendship is good for me and no need to ask for more.”

Carrie laughed. “You are just drank, and can’t focus. Let’s do it tomorrow instead. I will come to your house. I’m going to visit you.”

When Carrie trying to leave, he pulled her on his chest and kiss her tightly. No one can recognized them since it’s dark and only the disco-light that are lighting inside. Carrie can’t move, because Luke hold her tightly. He is too strong to stay away. He kiss Carrie down on the neck and back on her mouth. “Luke, please stop it.”

“Just forgive me this time. All I want is you. I want to be with me just night. I know you want what I did, right? So, let’s do it.” He pulled again Carrie and kiss her repeatedly.

He bring Carrie to an extra room, from the corner. Since the bar is free to have s*x. They went there and do what is called s*x. Carrie, can’t stop him and as well she want it.

“Carrie, I don’t want Nadia anymore. Instead, I want you.” he moaned.

“Luke, I only need Kurt and not you. I just forgive you this night since we want this. But after this, let’s forget it already.”

“I want to create a baby with you. So, I can’t run after Nadia and force her to be mine.”

“No, Luke. Control yourself, please.”

“Carrie, this is the only way to let them happy to each other.”

“I don’t want Kurt to be happy with her. I want him to be happy with me.”

“You can’t, I’m going to blocked you if you want.” He moaned again. “Its coming.” He moaned loudly and inject it inside Carrie.

Kurt was on his way to the hospital, going to visit Nadia again. Two weeks remaining, they will get married. He use to smile always, because he is excited. He drove his car fast through the hospital since he want to get there as quick because he already miss his wife.

He meet Nadia not on her office but on the testing room, bringing the patient’s record. Kurt approach her with a hug and kiss on her face.

“Good morning. What bring you here? Are you not busy?” she asked while walking together to her office.

“Nothing, it’s my vacant. And I just want to see you, because I miss you already. What is that?” he pointed out the document she bring.

“No, nothing. It’s my patient’s record. I use to check every morning.”

“Are you busy tonight?”

“Why?”

“I want have dinner in my house?”

“I’ll check it. Don’t worry, maybe tonight it’s my vacant.”

“Okay, make sure. Because I’m going to buy groceries later.”

“Want to buy with me? Let’s buy it together.”

“Sure. But I guess there is something you have to work on. I see on you, on how you are busy.”

“I can work it later. Let’s leave now.”

They took dinner together in Kurt’s house. They have their great aspiration and motif this night. Since they are get married soon. Not a big deal for them to have s*x or whatever that can satisfy their needs. A quote from Kurt, “I can find a true happiness with a deserving woman. A woman can pay back, a great humility.” Nadia keep on reminding of it since they are destined to each other. Kurt is deserve to be loved since he is worth it and trusty. A man that you can lean on and cried on the shoulder. A tough guy, and hunk. If they combine their genes and cells. Fortunately, they can create a handsome and beautiful creation that will inherit their beauty. In fact, since they plan to get married, they plan to have a dozen of children.

Luke is on his office. Checking every records that Nadia’s mother has. Actually, he keep on imagining on how they stand the one night, last night. What if, Carrie get pregnant since he never withdrew it out. But Carrie never tell or react on it. Maybe for some reasons. He is not ready to be a father, but he is ready to accept the child if there is. It is the way to stop Carrie from taking revenge. Though he get drank last night but he used to be formative. He knows what he’s doing. On how him and Carrie create a mystery.

Someone’s knocking on his door. When it open, Carrie show herself with a big smile. And she wave at Luke, but he never replied. He just give his gestures to come in and have a sit.

“Why are you here? Is there something that we need to talk? If about Nadia and Kurt, I’m not interested. You can leave.” He frankly said, and still looking at the documents.

“Luke, listen please. This time you are not drank. Maybe you are good enough to decide. And agree with me.”

“I’m didn’t get to drink. I’m physically and emotionally well. And my final decision, is to keep silence and let them happy. Actually, I’m happy for them.”

“No, you’re not. I know deep inside you are hurt hundred percent. And only Nadia can heal it. Why not, if let’s work together to endure the pain.”

“I don’t want to.”

“It is the only to stop each revenge. Maybe if you don’t want to work with me, I can do it alone. I can kill her and you can’t stop me.” she’s trying to leave but Luke stop her.

“Do it, or else you will regret. Don’t you dare hurt her, you can face me if not.”

She throw his hands and leave with a hatred expressions.

Luke asked Nadia to meet at the restaurant which they usually meet. Actually, Kurt is busy and have a lot of works in his office. She is on her way to visit him, but they need to talk with Luke. They only ordered cappuccino and pie.

“How are you? How’s my mother?” she is and take a bite on her pie.

“She’s fine. I put her in a private room. And it’s for free, since she is my aunt.”

“Good. How’s her record?”

“She need to take medicine, but don’t worry I care for it. You don’t have to worry about her.”

“Good. Thank you for being good to me. You even care for me and my mother. Don’t worry, I’ll be there if you need help. Actually, I have plan to bring Kurt tomorrow in the hospital and introduce him into my mother.”

“Okay, she is available. It’s good since she feel alone in her room. But Nadia, I came here because I want you to be aware.”

“What is that?”

“You have to be careful with Carrie, especially on your wedding. She’s on her moves to stop you and take some revenge. Don’t worry, I will find ways to stop her.”

“What? Gosh, she’s too desperate. It’s clearly and explained well that Kurt didn’t love her anymore. She keep on running after him.”

“I tried to stop her but she never listen. She used to agree with me but I refuse it all. I just let you to be happy with him instead of me.”

“Luke, I know you love me. But please, love me and protect me even if we get married. I want you to stay with me forever. Please, do your best to protect me if I’m in danger because I’m going to protect myself as well.”

“Okay, I used to have guard and search for her. To stop her.”

“Don’t worry, for more than protection I can ask or tell with Kurt.”

“Can I ask some favor?”

“Sure, what is that?—

“Can hug you just this moment. Since you’re getting married, I can’t hug you anymore like this.”

“Sure—

They come closer to each other and hug themselves tightly. After they meet, Luke bring her in Hansang Prosecutor Office and leave after. He just want to make sure that she arrive safely. Nadia meet Kurt at his office. He is alone and his colleagues are going home already. He is alone on his office, but actually around the building someone still existing especially on the other room.

“Hi, babe?” she said and seated in front of his table.

“Hello, how are you? Did you miss me already?” he stop on writing and stared at Nadia sweetly and cutely.

“Why you look at me like that?” she gasped.

“I just want to show my handsome face to a beautiful woman in front of me. By the way, did you eat you dinner?”

“Not yet, but I take some snack earlier with Luke. Let’s just eat our dinner tonight together.”

“What? You are with Luke this night?”

“Yes, remember were just friend. Actually, he use to inform me about Carrie.”

“What about Carrie? Is Carrie went home in London and leave us?”

“No. Carrie is doing some revenge on me. She plan to kill me and Luke inform me that I need to be aware during on our wedding. Maybe Carrie will use to take revenge that time and I don’t want to ruin it.”

“Don’t worry, I can handle it. Just stay behind me while doing everything so you will be safe.”

“Thank you, babe.” She stood up and hug Kurt while he is sitting. “A man deserve sweets. So I want to give you chance. Just this night.”

“Okay, I’m not going to finish it. Let’s have our dinner.” He get her jacket being hang and stood up to leave now.

“Wait, maybe we can take our dinner after ten minutes or twenty. Just for a while.”

“What do you mean?” he smiled.

Nadia, walk in front of him and pulled him out and kiss repeatedly. Kurt, throw his jacket on the floor and pulled Nadia back. They need to finish ten minutes since they both hungry. Kurt carry her and put her on the table. And caress her body while kissing. They both moaned. They have their s*x on the table of Secretary Erica. A ten minutes s*x.

After, ten minutes. They come to a restaurant and take their dinner. They both act like nothings happen. Three days left, their wedding is approaching. They prepared their needs already but except for her wedding gown.

Since its Sunday they are both going to boutique and dress-shop to buy some wedding gown. They went in a boutique where commonly display a wedding gown. Nadia choose to buy. And choose each gown who is better. She use to fit in the fitting room while Kurt is waiting outside. After a minute of choosing, Nadia choose a wedding gown color white. A wedding gown that fits on her, a long-sleeves and beads. Nothing can describe her gown. Next, in the mall. Take a shopping, buy everything they want.

Nadia bring him to the hospital, to visit her mother and to introduce as well. Around the hospital are crowded. Mostly, going here are all luxurious family. The hospital are not really too big and large to find her mother’s ward. This hospital is half of the hospital where Nadia’s working, since its private but all the accommodation are clean and neat. Luke use to guide them through her mother’s ward. Nadia bring with her the present such fruits and flowers. But Kurt and Luke are not too close, after the bad times happened to them. It feel awkward. Luke open the door for them. And they found out her mother who still in comatose condition. Nadia, smile at her instead to cry. Yes, she feel ashamed.

She seated beside her mother after putting the fruits on the table. “Mom, how are you?” she started. “It’s been a week that I didn’t visit you. But don’t worry, I bring with me a good news.” She smiled. “Me and Kurt are now getting married. But it’s so sad, because you can’t witness it. But don’t worry, I will ask someone to tape every flow of the wedding. So if you will wake up, I can show it to you.” Kurt went to her, and caress her shoulder since Nadia is shedding her tears. “Mom, I hope you will wake up not soon but today. I miss you already. I want you to stay strong and hold on. I can’t feel the essence of the family if you leave me like Papa’s did. Please, I beg you.” she mourn.

“It’s okay, everything is fine and you need to worry about your mother. Actually, I’m on the process to cure her. You can start your wedding. Don’t be affected of everything.” Luke insisted.

“What do you mean? Do you mean, you can’t go to on my wedding?”

“Exactly, if you want your mother wake up. Let me be. I can handle it. Just send with me a video.”

“Luke, you are invited because you are the third important guy on me. Please don’t miss it.”

“I can assure. I can go now, since I have a lot of things to work on. You can stay here if you want.” Luke leave and close the door.

“It’s okay, if that his decision, let him. We can talk to your mother or I mean soon to be my mother.” Kurt smiled and seated beside Nadia. “Hi, Mom it’s me Kurt. I hope you will accept me as the husband of your daughter. Since were meant to be and we can’t stop it because we love each other. Promise I will not hurt her. Thank you.” he kiss Nadia on her left face.

The day, on their wedding. Nadia and crew use to fix herself for the wedding. Putting different make ups, hairstyle, and design. A final moment that Nadia will be a single. And she will going face a married life after all. Taking care with babies and husband. Though, Nadia is not yet pregnant but they have their plan after the wedding. Nadia is soon to be a JOAQUIN.

Walking in the aisles going in front of the altar is a bit conscious. Together open the big door for the entrance, Nadia reveal herself wearing a wedding gown and it made everyone look at her. They are all smiling and excited to witness their wedding. Kurt is on the front waiting for her. A shining, shimmering, and splendid bride. Marching in front with a sweet love song as background. Some are crying of joy. A beautiful woman is now married to a handsome man.

As she hold Kurt’s hand to went in front of the center. Nadia, felt burdened on her heart. She can’t breathe easily. She getting pale and nervous. Her eyesight getting blurred. She can’t recognize anymore who are around the Church. She kneeled on the floor. Kurt and everyone getting panic and nervous of what happened. All relatives and friend are coming around Nadia to rescue. Kurt as her husband worried about her.

“What happened to her?” Kurt shedding his tears down on Nadia’s dress. “Please help her.” He shouted.

The Priest get involved to help Nadia. Others are calling for emergency and ambulance. Since Nadia invited her colleagues which are doctors and nurses. They help Nadia to perform temporary first aid while waiting for the ambulance.

One of the doctor use his index finger to feel the pulse of her. “She’s breathing but too normal. We need to bring her in the hospital before she die.” He said.

“What? Do you mean, my wife is on critical condition?” Kurt getting nervous.

“Yes, please call 911 to bring her easily.”

Within five minutes the ambulance came, and they quickly put Nadia in the rolling bed and get inside the ambulance. Kurt is going with her to take care while going to the hospital. Everyone are left behind in the Church.

Carrie was on her way to get revenge to Nadia. She will going to the Church where the wedding held. She prepared already herself for ruining the most important event for both of them. She smiled badly as she drive. Ten kilometers through the Church. She drive fast so she can go there.

After two minutes, Mia is calling for her. She answer it. Mia is on the Church already to give information about the event. Mia is Carrie’s spy for the events. She smiled as she answered since she expect that Mia will give her a good news.

“Hello, Mia? How’s the event? Don’t worry, I’m on my way. It’s time eliminate her to the competition. Sorry for her.” She evilly smiled.

“Carrie, you don’t have to go there. Everyone are now panic.”

“What do you mean?” she stopped her car.

“Something bad happened to the bride. They bring Nadia to the hospital. She was on her Cardiac Arrest.”

“What?” she was surprised. “Good. I’m not going there. Instead tell me the hospital where they bring Nadia because I’m going there.” She said and laughed loudly.

“Sure. Just wait.”

Kurt is on the visitor’s lane waiting for some update about Nadia. Since Nadia is on the Operating Room for surgery. As they arrive in the hospital, he heard that they need to perform surgery to her since she is on her critical condition. He don’t know yet what happened to her. He feel worried already. He seated on the bench praying for her sake.

After ten minutes, there’s a doctor from the OR going out. Together with a sad face. Kurt stood up and approach the doctor.

“Doc, what happened? Is she okay?”

“Are you her husband or what?”

“Don’t to ask that. I want to hear about her. Please.” He’s getting panic already. He keeps on begging the doctor. He shed his sweat around his face. He looks haggard but it’s okay he still handsome and cute.

“Sorry to tell you, that the Nadia was infected to the virus to the patient that we have here before but now we send him to Australia for operation. I think the patient’s name is Ignacio.”

“What?” he was shocked. He stop. He don’t know what to do after hearing about Nadia. Were Nadia was infected to the virus from his father. He can’t react about the issue.

“But for now, we need to bring her as well to Australia for operation. Hoping you will agree because it’s for her sake. And for us, we don’t want to lose her since she will soon promoted as a superior in this hospital for all of her achievements.”

“When you will bring her to Australia?”

“We should bring her as soon as possible. Maybe tonight or tomorrow. Within twenty hours started this time. Okay, I have to go since we have to examine her.”

The doctor leave him. He seated back and punch the wall. He can’t accept of what happened to Nadia. He can’t really believe of what happened. He wish that it was all dream, a nightmare that he need to wake up. Yet, a nightmare that can’t escape. Maybe a challenge for him on how he is strong for her. On how he is truly and deserving man for Nadia. Which a woman who is precious stone that need to be treasure.

He didn’t doubted shed his tears. He cried on how all women cried. His clothes is getting wet of his sweats and tears. Someone rubbed his shoulder, keeping him calm. As he look to it, he find out that it is Carrie with a sad face. As his first reaction he reject her.

“Kurt, I am here to keep you calm. I feel sad and panic of what happened to her. Actually, I’m on my way to ask forgiveness after I have done to her. I regretted so much. But it’s now too late and I wasn’t able to do my task. I’m really sorry Kurt. I hope you will forgive me.” she freakily look sad so Kurt will accept her.

“Actually, Nadia is on the critical condition. I don’t know if she died or not. If she died, I don’t want to live anymore.”

“Don’t say that. Nadia will wake up because she need to hear my apologize and she will going to continue your wedding.”

“I hope so. Thank you Carrie for the concern. Thank you for being here.”

“Don’t worry. I will be on your side while Nadia is asleep. I can take care of you for her.” She smiled.

Today, is the arrival of Nadia to Australia. She was put on the chilling box to avoid spreading the virus. As they bring her inside the airplane the rescuer wear their individuals mask for safety. Kurt prepared his things because he need to go with Nadia. But Carrie stop him. Until in the airport Carrie keep on holding him not to go. All guards block them.

“Where are you going sir?” one of the guard who has mole on the nose asked.

“I’m going to my wife. So don’t block my way.”

“You are not allowed sir. You can’t ride to plane where the patient is. You can ride to plane next trip.”

“No, I don’t want. She is my wife. Please, guard allow me.” he keeps on begging the guards. But Carrie keeps on calming him down.

“Kurt, listen to the guard. You can only go with her, using another plane.” Carrie said.

“No, there’s no flight today. I have to book my flight. I need to stay for a long time before I can go to Australia. But I don’t want that Carrie.” He seated on the floor and cried like a baby.

“But you have to. Because it’s for you safe.” Carrie said.

“I don’t care, if I get infected to her. I want to die with her.” He continue on crying.

The airplane already flying. “Nadia.” He shouted loudly, not just once but repeatedly. He just witnessed on how the plane fly and get lost on his sight. “Because all you, she leave me already.” He stood up and leave. And continue on crying. He leave his things, and Carrie use to bring it all.

“It’s hurt to believe that your wife will leave you without saying goodbye. I’m a kind of man who is unlucky. Yes, I’m unlucky but still I will do everything to be lucky soon. I’m a kind of man who will not surrender whatever challenges I have encountered. This was the challenge that I can’t get over with. Nadia, wait for me, I’ll be coming with you. Just stay strong and wake up. I am nothing if I don’t have you. Please.” He said, mourning and weeping the valley of tears.

Kurt suffered pain and lonely as Nadia leave her. Even if Carrie is with him, taking care. But he didn’t even use to smile. He keep on thinking and planning to go after Nadia in Australia.

How he can survive this challenge? If he will going to surrender or not? Or else he will going to meet another girl/woman? Let’s find out on the next volume in this book. Entitled, “A RARE LOVE; VOLUME 2 #A LOVE THAT LEFT BEHIND.
