Tyler and Avery arrived home. Tyler helped her mother restock the fridge with the things they bought from the store. After that, he left her to prepare breakfast under Avery's request. " I know you really want to help me but you are still a young boy." Avery said. Her words only frustrated Tyler. He wanted to grow and help his mother with her duties. " Don't worry, I won't burn the kitchen." Avery reassured him. That's something she did in the past. Not once, but severally in the past. Although Tyler was a little worried, he still left her alone. Thirty minutes later, Avery called out Tyler who was watching some documentaries to settle for breakfast. Her son always baffles her. While children his age were obsessed with watching Disney movies, Tyler would prefer to watch documentaries. He wasn't a fan of playing with toys and robots, he would rather go and read some hard concepts even she found hard to comprehend. She wondered where on earth her son picked such weird tastes, but it wasn't hard to guess. Since those habits didn't come from her, then it must be from the father's side. Thinking about her mission of finding that Man, she couldn't help but guess from his features back then how he looked. Too bad she didn't get to see his face because when she woke up, only his back was facing her. She had then fled away, never looking back. " Here, taste it and tell me what you think about my pancakes." Avery urged as she cut a small piece of pancakes and dipped it in jam before feeding it to Tyler If there's something her son picked up from her it was her sweet mouth. He liked pancakes sprinkled in Jam and all types of snacks. That was what made Avery believe that Tyler was truly her son apart from his green forest eyes. Tyler elegantly chewed the pancake before swallowing it. His graceful manners no longer surprised Avery. " It's good." he replied and Avery was elated that her son liked her preparations. Although Tyler would eat anything she prepared, she still made sure to improve her cooking everytime. That's because no wonder how horrible the food was, Tyler would never complain. He would eat the last piece offered by his mother. This did not make Avery feel good, on the contrary, it made her even more guilty. That's why she tried to attend cooking classes whenever she was free. The two ate silently. Tyler had high table manners forcing Avery to just follow his lead and avoid talking during meals. After they were done eating, Tyler attempted to help her mother with the dishes only to be stopped by Avery. " You should leave such tasks to your mother. I can handle them." She instructed. " Okay, but at least allow me to help clean the kitchen, '' Tyler said, looking around the kitchen that looked more like a war zone and not a kitchen. Things were strewn all over the place. This was a common occurrence whenever Avery was in the kitchen. She would disarrange everything in a span of minutes. " No son, the kitchen is a dangerous place." She couldn't allow Tyler to work around the kitchen for his safety. " Then I'll clean the sitting room, no arguments about that.'' The little guy stated with finality and Avery could only let him do as he pleases. The sitting room was half better than the kitchen so it didn't take long to have it cleaned. After that, the little boy went back to his room while Avery went to work from the balcony. Since she had a task at hand from her superiors, she had to work her best to close that deal. Calling Leo, the assistant who tagged along abroad, she Inquired about all the data sfe needed to study the client. The deal was supposed to be closed with a subsidiary group of the Antonio Corp. Since Avery worked as a jewel designer, sfe had to win a contract with the Antonia branch dealing with jewellery, the El passion. It was said to be under the main branch but not directly answerable to the CEO of Antonio Corp. The evening came, Avery prepared dinner for Tyler. After that she went to ensure that he was sleeping. Tyler was tapping on his iPad when he heard his mother open the door. " You should sleep early Tyler. Don't use the iPad for too long." Avery Instructed. Closing down the iPad, Tyler obediently laid in bed and covered himself. Avery looked around the room. It was neat and tidy. Everything was in order. The little closet holding the young man's clothes was well arranged. a complete opposite of Avery's own closet which was stuffed. She knew that if she wanted to wear a particular dress, she'd have to rummage through it for hours or probably a day. Tyler would help her arrange everything but she would end up ruining his hard work in less than a day. After making sure that Tyler was already asleep, Avery made her way to her room. It was still early but she felt exhausted and just wanted to lay down and sleep. Her phone at the bedside table rang indicating that she had an incoming call. Checking the caller ID, she frowned. Why would Priscilla call her? She was the head of department of the designing group so technically, Avery worked under her. " Hello!" Avery calmly said after accepting the call. " We got inside news that the president of Antonia Corp is staying at Les Mada hotel. You should head over there and meet him. Remember we depend on this deal to successfully establish our foothold in this city." Priscilla Instructed. " This is a business deal, why do I have to meet him privately?" Avery asked. They could just arrange a meeting with the president officially and discuss everything. " Don't be a fool? Do you think the president of such a prestigious company has time to meet with a small and insignificant company like ours? Make your choice now." with that, the call was disconnected.
