Chapter eight Jonah I pull up to the hotel within fifteen minutes of Cole’s call, still in the clothes I’d worn to work—minus my tie—with a thick charcoal coat pulled over top. Cole is pacing along the sidewalk while Kaylyn sits next to the building curled up over her knees. “Live close?” Cole asks with a smile that doesn’t quite touch the rest of her face.
