“You’re looking good, Jacob. Did you really rent a car or were you telling me to piss off when I texted you?”
“Yep, I got a rental. I just cabbed here because I had a beer at the hotel and plan on a few more here. I didn’t know you could text.”
Jeannie smirked and looked over at me. “Took me a long time to get him to use a cell phone. He’s not too bad with it now.”
I smiled and nodded. “Progressive.” I looked around. “Is Lynn here? I’d like to say hi.”
Ron shook his head. “She spends a lot of time in hospital. She’ll be coming for the party tomorrow, though. She might even spend the night.”
“I’m going to head over there to see her now.” I went to call a cab when he came over and put his hand on my phone.
