Saffie glanced over, a sure sign she had heard enough. From the moment they sat down at the board meeting, everything to come out of the members mouths leaned toward the notion that if Sapphire Gardener took charge of their father’s company, they would be struggling within weeks as they’d done in the early days when his father started out.
