"Ahhh!" Laila shouted. Someone tried to hit her head with a baseball bat from behind. It's a good thing that only one side of the bat hit a portion of her head. For that, she did not lose consciousness. Although she nearly fell because of the bat's impact and the suddenness of the attack, she was able to maintain her balance. Her skills in martial arts helped her at this moment. She automatically turned around to face the one who hit her but the person is as fast as her. Her flashlight was not able to shine on that person's face.
"Damn!" Laila shouted as she held the portion of her head that was hit. "Who are you?!"
No answer.
Crap! Laila thought and tried to focus her flashlight on the person's face but she was unsuccessful. The person flew on her side in a flash.
