Charlotte did not comment on what his husband said. She has her own perspective on things but she dares not talk unless she verifies the information. She has already developed this attitude as a lawyer in the past years. By this time, Carlos should have been familiar with this character of hers.
Carlos took a deep breath when his wife did not give a comment on what he said. Tactful as always, he knows that she won't say anything unless she verifies the information. This is one of the characteristics that he admires in her.
"Shall we barge in the 'moment' of this young couple?" Carlos asked his wife softly as he drew her closer to him with his right hand.
"Nuh-uh," she replied. "A little bit later. We might ruin the atmosphere if we do."
