16 ~Mia~ It wasn't the chaos inside the arena that left me feeling on edge. It was the horrible images in my mind—horrible images of what happened to me when I was unconscious. No matter how many times I adjusted myself on the stool, I struggled to focus on my computer screen. Most of my staff was busy preparing for the public concert scheduled for this evening. I wanted to be involved in those preparations instead of chained to my laptop. If I were busy, maybe this knot in my stomach would disappear. My cheeks grew hot as I thought back to the night I confronted Wesley about sneaking someone into my suite. I blamed him for my trip to the emergency room. He was part of the reason I had a r**e kit performed. He was the reason I was in that hospital bed, ashamed to meet my doctor’s eyes
