CHAPTER03

Celyn dozed off on her long couch immediately when she came into her living room the previous night.

She was exhausted from the previous day’s incident and couldn’t help herself with anything the previous night.

Yna’s call woke her the next morning.

She woke up immediately and looked at the time, it was already 9:00am in the morning.

“I slept for so long.” Celyn murmured to herself as she dragged herself up to her bedroom.

A distant noise could be heard from the door, it was her lover.

“Look who’s awake already,” he said with a smiley face and a tray of breakfast.

“ I made breakfast for you my darling. Here’s a cup of coffee to start the day…”

Celyn groaned off the bed without listening further.

“Thanks for the breakfast” she said reluctantly

Her fight to save the company and her dying mother was the major thing on ground for her . The love languages without a solution were not really necessary at that point to her.

“Babe, I understand but you can’t really be this so cold towards me. Last night you didn’t even allow me to touch you, not even a kiss nor a cuddle.C’mon baby, you need to ease off some stress,come to daddy for some early morning bed refreshments.” Her lover said as he bit his lips seductively and walked towards her.

He wrapped his arms around her waist and slowly kissed her neck. He was gradually laying her on the bed when Celyn’s phone rang again.

She excused herself to pick the call, it was her P.A,Yna.

“I have to get ready for the office, my attention is needed. ” Celyn said, walking away.

Her lover angrily punched his fist on the bed, dressed up and rudely said “You think that useless company of yours will ever stand?” He hissed, banged the door and left.

Celyn was shocked by the words of her lover but waved it. She just felt it was a word from a partner who had just been turned off.

She quickly did the necessary things and left for her office.

“Yes Yna, what was the content of the email yesterday? Celyn asked as she stepped into her office.

Yna was silent for a while because she was bothered about how her boss would feel at the news.

“Yna!! Celyn screamed.

“Uh—Uhmmm, we lost them all. Winmarks are no longer interested in Reyes & Co. Company handling their project, our two remaining lead investors, have left already. We’re currently an empty company. "No investors, no contract, no shareholders” Yna explained with her face bowed.

“NO!!!! "This can’t happen.” Celyn yelled, scattering her office table.

“Ma, you need to pull yourself together, it's not the end of the world. "There is no problem without a solution, we’re still going to bounce back definitely. Yna politely said to Celyn, who was in deep tears already.

“Where are the directors?” Celyn asked amidst her tears.

“They are yet to report to work for today.” Yna answered

Celyn saw her world crumbling more.

She really needed to pull through more deals and make the company more outstanding. Deep thoughts were running through her mind.

“What do I do now?” Celyn murmured to herself.

Yna was still bowed in her boss's office, still in her own thoughts as well. She didn’t forget to ask Celyn about the hospital emergency which Celyn told her was about her mum and she was getting better.

Celyn asked for Mr. Carlo’s details in return. Yna left for her office, came back with a file and handed it over to her.

“Hope every detail here is correct?” Celyn asked.

“Yes Miss . But please may I ask why you need details of such a man? Yna asked in return.

“Soon you will find out, you should leave now.” Celyn replied with a smirk.

Immediately after Yna left, Celyn hurriedly opened the file to feed her eyes with all she could grab from every page. She smiled and said, “All I ever wanted is right there”.

The doctor and Mr. Carlo Buenavista was seen seated in his office.

Mr. Carlo had deliberately come back to the hospital in the guise of asking about Celyn.

“Why are you here this early? "You didn’t sleep last night? "I could run a free test on you,” the doctor said with a deep laugh.

“No, man, I’m good. I’m here in respect of our previous discussion.” Mr. Carlo replied.

“You mean the childbirth matter? You think any woman would just want to give birth and leave their children after some years? "Come on Man! "Just marry who you love, and you can both nurture your children,” said the doctor calmly.

“I’m a billionaire, remember. Man, I’m not doing this for free. The woman gets to ask for anything and I will deliver it. Just be the mother to my children and when they’re of age she can f**k off our lives with whatever she got from me. "It’s just a contract.Simple!” Mr. Carlo said arrogantly.

“Get off your high horse, my man. How old are you?

“Get a wife and settle down dude!” the doctor remarked.

“Hey, I think Miss Reyes is the perfect woman for what I want. She just came back to the country, I guess? She’s so attracted to me.

“Whatever she wants, I can afford it. Half of my wealth? My companies or houses? Anything, she should just mention it. Just need cute and lovely kids like her.”

“Name your price to get her to my side. "I can build you a new hospital better equipped than this” he said with a wicked smile.

“You must be really out of your mind to think that Miss Celyn would settle for you. How do you think this will work out?”

“ Could that be a contract marriage you’re signing up for Mr. Carlo? Think twice about what you’re about to do,” the doctor said emphatically.

Mr. Carlo affirmed positively that’s what he actually wanted and had made up his mind.

“Are you aware that her mother was just admitted yesterday? The doctor asked with a raised eyebrow.

“What do I care about her mother ? Is her daughter I want! After childbirth, I can still picture her body still ever s*xy for smashing,” Mr Carlo said, unleashing his cold heart.

The doctor looked at him dumbstruck. How could he be this cold and still be audacious about getting into a contract marriage with Celyn ?

“I wish you all the best in your adventure, but I’m not with you,” the doctor uttered after much silence in the room.

Celyn had a short nap at her office just to clear her mind for a little while.

When she woke up, she noticed time was far past, and she had to go visit her mum at the hospital.

She hurriedly dashed out of her office and set out for the hospital.

On her way, a red Bentley Bacalar screeched to a sudden stop in front of her car.
