"What are you doing here?" I ask Leo. I just got home and found him in my driveway. He must have just arrived not long after me because he was stepping out of his car as I pulled into my driveway. "I'm here to pick Emery up. She mind-linked me saying she needed a ride home."
"Oh, well, come on in." She and Haven must have hit it off. Hopefully, Haven is happy with her new friend. Before I can even open my front door, Emery stumbles out giggling. Is she drunk? "Hey, babe!" She barely walks to Leo. "Oh boy. Hey, let's get you home." Leo walks her to the car as she leans against him. "No, wait! I have something to say to you." Emery points her finger at me.
This can't be good. "That is there is called payback, b***h. I was going to be nice, but you needed to learn a lesson.
