Ruby POV:
Even though it was midday, my skin tingled with goosebumps as a chill ran through me. I got to my knees slowly. My legs felt weak as I stared at Natalie's grave.
A quick ceremony was held yesterday. I surprisingly managed to make it through the service without having a mental breakdown. What I think allowed that to happen was my rage. The vampires had taken so much from everyone, both human and nonhuman. People had lost their family and friends to those monsters, and it had to come to an end.
I closed my eyes for a moment as the wind picked up around me, and I couldn't help wondering if it was Natalie's spirit.
