Xavier POV:
I wasn't the 'I told you so' type, but I so wanted to rub those words into Axel's face right about now. Malcolm hadn't told us the price for helping Ruby, but he had revealed something that might be worse than any payment he might have asked for.
Malcolm drove off again after dropping the 'I'm your father' bomb as if he hadn't just rocked Ruby's world. No one spoke as he drove.
Axel threw a look my way before looking at Ruby.
Her wide eyes hadn't left Malcolm since he'd revealed that he was her father.
Malcolm was a warlock who used black magic, but Natalie hadn't sensed magic like that within Ruby. What had he meant when he said he wasn't surprised she had powers? What had he done? Was his black magic the reason why Ruby was now developing powers?
