The night just seemed so silent, not even the insects were calling to each other. Ever since the vampires attacked, it was as if the animals had all gone into hiding. Vampires were indiscriminate feeders. They targeted animals like cows, dogs, goats, and horses as well. All warm-blooded animals were fair game for vamps.
