"I'm proud of you." Natalie threw her arm around my shoulder. "It definitely sounds like you handled it like a boss. I taught you well."
"You taught me well?" I told her with a laugh.
She nodded. "Of course I did. It sure as hell wasn't those two knuckleheads!" She pointed at Xavier and Axel walking ahead of us. "Are you really sure they're going to stop the hunting werewolves, though?"
I nodded. "I'm sure."
"And the Queen?"
Xavier and Axel halted their steps at the same time to look around at me.
"Don't even say it," I told them. "Presley wants me there, so I'm going. Neither of you can burn vampires alive with your mind, can you?"
