Ruby POV:
He had shifted only his claws to aid him as he kicked the vampire off him and jumped onto his feet. He stood in a fighting stance and remained still.
The vampire hissed at him and then lunged forward. He then recoiled as Xavier swiped at his chest, ripping the black T-shirt he was wearing to shreds.
A woman ran out from behind a car and was immediately attacked.
My stomach turned as the vampire grabbed her, turned her to face me, and ripped into her throat, biting down rapidly before pulling away and ripping her throat open. My lips started to quiver as he released her and she fell to the ground with her hand outstretched to me.
Her eyes fluttered close within seconds and the vampire kneeled to finish his meal.
