Chapter 4

When the car eventually stopped, the driver came down and opened the door for me.

I stepped out of the car, like a lamb being led to the slaughter.

I felt so frightened, for reasons I did not know.

My legs were literally shaking, it was a huge surprise I didn't fall down.

"Miss Voss, you'll need to go find the mistress, she'll assist you until Mr Laurent gets here, he already briefed her on your arrival" the driver said.

" How will I find her?" I asked the driver, "I just got here, I don't know where anything is".

"You'll figure it out" He said, "my only duty was to bring you here, you're on your own for now", then he turned and left.

A few student were walking along the path, the stopped to stare at me, though not for long.

I just stood looking around, wondering what to do, until I felt a huge push, I nearly fell down.

"Excuse me, you're blocking the way" a voice said rudely. I turned, and beheld the most handsome face I've ever seen, black shinny hair, beautiful blue eyes, a very handsome face, and God the height.

I didn't even notice that I was staring too hard at him, until he spoke again.

"Are you deaf, stupid or both." Move this instant, then he pushed me again, and this time I fell to the floor. Back to the floor again, I guess it's really my place after all. I kept my head down, noticing a few people have started gathering.

Just a few minutes here, and it has all started again.

Then I started hearing the whispers, "Who is she?", "Is she courting death?", "Doesn't she know "?

Know what? What should I know that I don't, I wondered.

I quickly stood up, and started walking fast to the first building I saw.

I pushed the door open, entered and placed my back behind the door.

To my suprise three boys were inside the building, looking at me like I've gone mad. Among them was the one that pushed me just a few minutes ago.

"Are you stalking me or what"? he said, "You seem to have really lost your mind".

Then he stepped forward, pulled my chin up and said, "I don't know who you think you are, but don't you dare follow me around again" he said this with so much venom, I couldn't even reply.

One of the the other guys said"Rhett please don't get worked up over her, we have better things to do". Rhett, so Rhett was his name I thought.

I turned to look at the one who had just spoken, he was equally as handsome as Rhett, blond hair, deep brown eyes.

"I'm so sorry for the mistake, please I'm not stalking you" I said to Rhett, I'm new here and I'm trying to find someone. He didn't reply me, didn't even reach as though I've spoken. The one that spoke to Rhett, was equally not paying attention to me.

Next thing I heard was, "You're trying to find someone? Come on I'll help you, I was about stepping out, we can go together". I turned and stared at the person who had just spoken, je was among the three boys, handsome in a boyish kind of way, and his eyes were so grey. He seemed the most friendly of the three.

"I'm Noah" he said, coming to stand with me.

"Zara" I replied.

Rhett was still so uninterested in the conversation going on, the other guy spoke to Noah "So you have nothing else to do, than to follow a girl around" he said in a mocking way.

Noah replied, " Zade can you stop being rude, it won't hurt to help" I noticed he didn't say anything to Rhett.

He opened the door and we both stepped out, he just said "Let's be clear, I'm not helping you because I'm interested in you in any way, I just don't want you to anger Rhett, he's already going through a lot as it is"

Going through a lot? I wondered what he meant by that.

"Thank you for your help, if it will bother you too much then I can find my way" I said.

"It's alright, I already said I'll help" he replied, "so who are we looking for?"

Before I could say anything I saw Mr Laurent, he walked up to me and said "Miss Zara, where have you been? I just got here a few minutes ago and was looking for you". He turned and stared at Noah,"And you've already made a friend".

"He's not my friend, he was trying to help me find the mistress" I said.

"Well there's no need for that, I'll take you to her myself" He said. I turned to thank Noah but he was already walking away, "Thank you Noah" I shouted, "Whatever" He replied.

Well that is that, I hope I don't come across these guys again.
