Chapter 5

My wish didn't come through, guess who I discovered was in the Residential Wing I was assigned into.

The three boys. My life was about to become something else, something worse than it was already, I had the feeling in my bones.

My registration process went smoothly, Mr Laurent took me to the mistress, Miss Laughley, and I discovered they were related in a way.

The process was the least stressful, everything was done in a big room with pre programmed computers. I already knew I stepped into a world much different from what I was used to, but each minute I stay here is a big confirmation.

Firstly, all students in Vale Academy lives on campus. And room is assigned based on each persons financial ranking.

So based on how wealthy my newly discovered Uncle Alexander was, I was given a big room, very big and expensive.

I would have never in a million years imagined something like that.

A knock sounded on my door, I opened it, and saw Noah.

"I'm here to take you to your first class" he said rudely. I was surprised, wrong for me to assume he was the friendly one of the group. They were all the same.

"Miss Langley asked Zade to do so, I know he won't, I'm just helping out, because I owe Zade". "Not for your sake". He said. As though I ever thought that.

"Okay, regardless of your reasons, thank you". I said.

He didn't say anything else in reply.

We started walking in silence, I was feeling a bit weird, because my school skirt was a bit shorter than what I wore in my old school. Well a lot of things here are different from my old school.

The fact that my uniform here is a very stylish blue, and was grey in my old school. And let me not get started about the buildings, everything here is so beautiful and fully screams rich.

I looked at Noah, he was wearing his uniform as well, and it really suited him. Though he only looking straight ahead.

" We're here" he said, stopping at a door.

"You can enter, and a piece of advice from me, don't try to be too visible. Try to blend in" he said and started working away. As though I'll want to stand out.

I opened the door and stepped in, the teacher was in class already, and a few students as well. I expected the unnecessary introduction that is usually the case when a new student joins.

He only slightly nodded at me and said, "Miss Zara, right? Welcome to Vale Academy. Fina a sit and get sitted."

Two sits after the front row, I found a desk that was to the window, in a very reserved position, I quickly say down there.

Less than five minutes later I heard,"Why are you on my sit, get up immediately". I looked up, and trust my luck, it was Rhett and I was on his sit.

He was staring at me with so much hatred. Out of everywhere why did this have to be his sit.

I couldn't even form any word, and it was making him so angry.

"Get up", he said this time, pulling me up so roughly.

All eyes were on us, even the teacher was speechless.

"What's actually wrong with her? Why is she on Rhett's desk, is she deliberately trying to annoy him?" People were whispering from all corners.

I got up from Rhett's sit, and he spoke again."If you're trying to annoy me, it's really working, and you don't want to know what I'm capable of when I'm pissed off". He said it so calmly, with so much venom.

I looked for the nearest available sit and quickly sat down, without lifting my head up. I'm sure a lot of people where looking at me.

Why couldn't I say anything, at least with Noah I can speak up, what is with Rhett that makes me so speechless and silly?

The class ended quickly to my greatest joy, I couldn't even remember what the teacher had said, I was so lost in thought.

I quickly rushed out, and was immediately surrounded by a group of girls outside.

Great, another bully squad here too.

"New girl, I don't know who you think you are, because you're the heir to the Vale's inheritance doesn't make you anything special. Stick to your lane, and leave Rhett and the boys alone, else we will definitely make your stay here a living hell" One girl said, pulling my hair roughly.

The others snickered, " And that attention seeking stunt you pulled in class never, and I mean never do that again" she said and threw my books to the floor. I bent down to pick it.

"Good you know your place, and that is on the ground" she said and kicked my book, before stepping outside with her friends. Laughing stupidly.

As I stood up from the ground I came face to face with Zade. When did he get here?

"Listen, word of advice, if you want to survive here you'll need to grow some liver. The helpless girl act won't get far here. And most of all keep out of Rhett's way, you really do not want to piss him off. As he already hates you a lot." He said.

Rhett hates me? Why? I just got here, I have no personal business with him. Does this have to do with my inheritance, I wondered.

I really knew so little about this school, my uncle and the boys.

What is all these about, and when will I find answers to everything.

There's more to this, someone doesn't just leave a fortune to a niece who didn't even know him.
