Chapter 2: The One Night Crash

1125 Words
ALLYSA Was I dead? Dear God, I hoped so. If not, Dad would make sure he did it himself. Plus, I didn’t want to live and go back to seeing Monty and Sienna. I wanted them to regret their betrayal and feel so sick to their souls about my death, the weight of the guilt crushing them down as all manner of negative things came their way. They’d be unable to ever fall asleep because my vengeful ass would haunt them, and I’d make sure they’d never sleep with each other again as I used my spirit world power to manipulate their lives, causing immense pain and suffering to their stupid fucki… “…hey!…she even doing…not in the mood right now…up. Wake up….” I felt the motions of someone shaking me and trying to rouse me and I grimaced. Wasn’t I supposed to be dead? “Lemme aloneee…” I groaned. “I’m trying to die here…” “What? Get up or I’m going to call the cops on you.” I remained silent, my eyes closed as I picked up where I left off, imagining the news getting out of their sick affair and how the entire world would rise against them, united in their stance in my memory as society would cast them away and they’d hang their heads in shame, retreating to the darkest corners of the earth where they’d toil… Rough hands suddenly grabbed me and pulled me upright. My eyes snapped open and I snatched my arm away, stumbling and almost falling over until the hand reached out again and steadied me. I blearily blinked rain water out of my eyes as I looked up…and up and up at the man standing before me. He was tall and towering with wet, thick dark hair plastered to this forehead. His clothes were sticking to his frame, accentuating the hard and chiselled contours of his frame. His lips were pink and plump with the panty dropping moustache-goatee combo framing his sharp jaw. And his sterling silver eyes…glared at me. I jerked back and screamed piercingly. He startled, also jerking back from me, as a flabbergasted look came upon his face. “What is your f*****g problem, you crazy…” He bit back the end of his sentence, his jaw flexing. I cowered from him and looked at the mess around us, to survey what had happened. Yup, the bike was absolutely totaled, and the front of his car really needed to be worked on. So how was I… “I’m alive?” I asked him stupidly. His eyes fluttered closed for a second as he pinched his nose. “How?” I continued. He was silent for a few moments, remaining in that position till another voice answered, “When you hit the car, the force propelled you onto the windshield. So when we hit the tree, the bike took the brunt and you were safely on the car.” That when I noticed there was another man, who looked older and was shorter than the Greek god before me. I hunched my shoulders and hugged myself, saying, “Oh.” Then I added, “I’m sorry.” The grey eyed man finally dropped his hands and said, “Get in the car. We’ll drop you home.” Then strode to the side of the car and opened it, getting in. I stood there, hesitating if getting into a strangers car was a good idea. He popped back up, looking righteously indignant as he called out, “Make no mistake, I will gladly leave you on the side of this road to die of hypothermia, especially since you caused all this.” The kind eyed driver smiled softly at me, “You’ll be okay, ma’am. We just want to get you out of this rain and home safely.” He said. I then nodded and stumbled to the other side of the car, opened it and got in as the driver got in the front. The grey eyed man was on his phone, a dark scowl on his face as he typed, his knee moving agitatedly. “What about the bike?” The driver asked me. I thought about I and shrugged. “Just leave it.” Dad would handle the insurance and all, anyways. He nodded, started the car and began driving. I looked over to the man beside me and asked, “So, what’s your name?” His jaw clenched but otherwise, he didn’t look in my direction or act like he heard me. I stretched my neck to see what he was doing on his phone and he snatched it away and turned his cold glare on me and hissed, “Stay away from me.” I jerked back, feeling hurt pierce my chest. I mean, of course, I dented his car and all and practically put all our lives in danger. But come on…”Well, jeez. I just wanted to…never mind.” I turned away from him and crossed my arms as I stared sulkily out the window. He sighed and then asked, “What’s your home address?” I didn’t look at him as I murmured, “I don’t want to go home.” His next sigh held more irritation than the previous as he said as if speaking to a child, “Well, we have to drop you somewhere, miss. We need an address.” The thought of going back home or calling my Dad, coming face to face with them again, when my wedding day was just a few hours away made tears fill my eyes and I hiccuped, feeling my heart squeeze. The adrenaline and anger I felt all drained out of me and I was left with a bone deep sorrow that I’d tried to ignore all night since I came upon the library. “Are you…Jesus Christ.” He sounded so fed up. I turned my teary glare at the stranger. My eyes began to snag on his features again. He was a very very attractive and handsome man. The opulence of the car and his dressing spoke that this was a man that came from money and power. But I didn’t know him, and he didn’t know me so I’m sure it’d be okay. Besides, I wasn’t going to go ahead with the wedding. I knew that now and I was sure of it. And since Sienna and Monty were sleeping with each other… “I want you to take me home with you.” I blurted out. His brow arched imperiously and he opened his mouth to say something, but before I could lose my morale, I hurriedly finished, “I want you to f**k me.”
