I knew these next two weeks were going to be learning experiences, but I wasn't prepared for what I learned. The children's ward really got me emotionally. I found myself walking the halls at night time checking on them. It was as though the day shift wasn't enough time spent with them. In this ward, I found both human and wolf children. Here, they are all referred to as children.
The days I was stationed on the adult floor really weren't any easier. The difference was that some of the adults were total jerks. I realize that they were in pain, but I didn't appreciate being called names. I had my hair pulled and just slapped for no reason. Dr. Hanna laughed and welcomed me to the world of treatment.
