CHAPTER THREE - JUNE, 1991 When Saturday arrived, I went to the shopping centre, as usual, knowing that this routine operation was probably the only one that I would be doing that day. I was in good spirits and chatted happily to the Tesco assistant who was helping me with my shopping. I caught a taxi to carry me and my several bags home. As I reached my front door, I heard the telephone ringing. I rushed to unlock the door, turn off the alarm and throw my shopping into the hallway.
